Nice area attraction 4/16/2006

This zoo is a nice addition to the Memphis scene. I think that the prices are a little high for regular day admission but you can always get around it by going on special days and it is cheaper after 4pm. My toddler loves it here and I think it is great that they have a lot of exotic animals. more

Fun Day 8/22/2005

Nice variety of animals, andgood visibility of the animals very affordable tram. There is a great kiddie train around the barnyard area. The parking and getting into the zoo on a weekday morning was so quick and easy we were very shocked. We also really appreciated the large shady areas that seem to welcome guests to picnic. Very clean and accomodating. It was a great day for the whole family. We really LOVED it. more

Nice in my eyes 8/20/2005

Went to this zoo a few months ago and I thought that it was amazing. The sites and layout was great. The show with the seals was very nice. Coming from the horrible city that I live in, the zoo was 200% better than i could imagine. The prices was fairly simple, the parking was easy and close to the gate. It is an easy drive from the downtown area and it's definately a good way to entertain the kids. more

Memphis Zoo on the rise 8/19/2005

The Memphis Zoo has undergone a major facelift over the past 15 years. Themed areas have been beautifully crafted. Be sure to visit Cat Country, Primate Canyon, Animals of the Night, and Once Upon a Farm. Regular admission now gains you entrance into the gorgeous China exhibit, complete with a pair of giant Pandas! A new area is still under construction called the Northwest Passage. In this new exhibit, you will be able to view polar bears swimming underwater. The gift shop has lots of cute animal related merchandise. Also, the kids will find misting stations to help cool off in the summer. And don’t forget to save a couple of bucks for some Dippin’ Dots! more
