L.A.'s Best Comic Shop, Hands Down 5/18/2006

Meltdown is one of the reasons why I love living in L.A. -- it's the best comic shop! A mind-boggling array of collectors toys, old and new greet you as you walk in. Walk in further to this brightly-lit, cheerful and quirky space and you'll find comics and books galore: there's mainstream superhero titles like X-Men and Teen Titans to Japanese manga books, indie comics, graphic novels, cinema/design books and much more. The staff is friendly and always ready to recommend something new and cool. A fun hangout for Hollywood creative types and closet geeks. This review is for the sparkly-new Mini-Melt location on Los Feliz. I'm pretty excited to finally have hi-quality comics within arm's reach (if you have elastic arms, I guess)...a well-chosen small-scale selection of the same choice reads, cool toys, collectibles + great baby clothes that make Meltdown such a joy. Pros: fun stuff!, nicest staff ever more
