I have eaten at this local resturant several times this year, the food is always cold or luke warm, they serve almost everything in little serving bowls, so tacky, I would say taking the portion thing to the extreme!\r

My heart was set n having a good thanksgiving dinner, I'm single male in my 50's, I ordered turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls and sliced baked ham. ok I got ham that was mostly fat, with it being smothered in cubes of pineapple, yuk! my turkey, I was hoping for several slices of carved turkey, heck no, I got a very small side dish bowl of very bland cornbread stuffing, topped with bland chicken gravy and several pieces of turkey breast shredded! my mash taties was instant with not turkey gravy but beef gravy? the warmest part of my dinner was the rolls and they are probably stored in a food warmer prior to serving. For desert I asked for a slice of chocolate merringe pie, very small slice I got. diet coke. my total bill was 17.98 plus 3.00 tip. \r

Needless to say I left hungry, very disappoointed, you would get better food in the hospital, and thats terrible to say. \r

Hopefully they read these comments at the Melon Patch, cause they need a new cook who can cook, southern country food, and have it served hot and fresh! and if the cook can serve food in little bowls they surely can do the same by putting the food on a warm plate.
Pros: good place to eat if your on a diet
Cons: very cold food
