Took my 1998 Subaru to the dealer... $3,000 for a new exhaust system. Then went to Meineke... they fixed it for $80 with a little welding. Add to that they make you feel like you'...

Excellent Service 10/15/2010

Everytime I have been here they have taken excellent care of me. Even if I call in that day and they always do their best to fit me in that same day. I will absolutely go back. Their prices are also very reasonable. Everyone there is very friendly. more

I would never, ever deal with these morons again. \r The owner Paul Suddenfield is a real axxhole!\r He claims not to hear things when you go for a ride with him to have his repairs questioned. \r He is never wrong and has a really bad attitude. A little too outspoken.\r He could use some customer etiquite big time!\r He actually told me to go get a job??\r I dont know what the frick he is even talking about??\r He doesnt know me??\r I bet I make more nthan him.\r As if I have nothing better to do than go around beating up Meineke for free bee spot welds and exhaust gaskets, ...please.\r If you do a job, do it right and dont give any lame excuses or remarks.\r I dont need him, he needs me, us, as customers.\r Therefore I recommend Lous Custom Exhaust as I have found Meineke uses inferior pipe anyhow which is known not to last, NO SECRET, while Lou's uses aluminized steel . I have a friend with a 10+ year old system and it is dead quiet.\r Research and you will find the above info on the materials more

wAbsolutely the rudest customer service I have ever encountered!I went in for a quick oil change and found the manager to be one of the most the worst customer service individuals I can imagine. He insulted me and the customer behind me within 5 minutes. He yelled at my kids for moving around and when I told him I wasn't going to wait for an oil change because the waiting space was too small for my kids and he obviously didn't have the patience he yelled "yeah have a nice life". So off I went to Sullivan Tire and they were awesome.. more

Untrustworthy 9/15/2009

These guys took two hours to do a brake inspection even though I had an appointment and was the only guy in the shop. Then they tell me that I need close to $500 dollars worth of rear (drum) brakes and that the equipment wasn't safe to drive. I got two second assessments (this is ALWAYS a must) from some local shops, and one said all I needed was a minor adjustment and brake-fluid flush ($60), and the other shop said my rear brakes were altogether fine. I opted for the $60 service elsewhere. Bottom line: The Salem Meineke will take you for a ride... if you aren't paying attention. Pros: None Cons: Looking for suckers more

Meineke Car Care Ctr in Salem is great! 8/15/2009

Add to that they make you feel like you're part of the family. What a great place to get your car fixed. It made me realize that dealers don't fix things, they replace things. if your looking for A+++ service this is the place to go. I have gone here for years to have all kinds of work done. they are all professionals and have the best customer service ever. i've gotten mufflers and brakes done there, and they always stand behind their work. i will be headed back there very soon as i need some brakes. more
