In short this company is deceptive and scam customers right off the bat. Their budget plans are all nice and dandy until you have to renew a year later. Without advising what you are walking into. The prices will go up just because you are a current customer. They will deliver oil without your request and charge you for it. Then threaten to sue you. They will require you pay the full balance left on your account at the end of the year or they will halt oil deliveries regardless of how cold you and your family are. They quoted us a decent price per month which we were able to sustain, but at the end of the contract year we had a left balance of $1000, I told them several times that we cannot afford to pay it all at once and while being juggled from one rep to the other for weeks, I eventually reached a Credit Manager named Reeba. She was rude and unhelpful, she talked to me like I was a piece of trash and eventually told me that she is not going to answer anything I say and that she is more

Meenan Oil installed a Burnham LE Boiler with a Burnham Alliance Indirect Hot Water Heater in my home recently. The install guys were great: knowledgeable, friendly, courtious, and prompt. The removal of the old boiler was clean and professional. They thoroughly cleaned the area and provided new masonry blocks for the new units. Solder joints are perfect, and plumbing is top notch. Guys didn't mind that I was watching most of the time. Meenan also coordinated Total Tank Care (a subcontractor) to remove the old above ground oil tank, and replace it with a new tank with 'tank tub' enclosure (I highly recommend this upgrade). Perfectly level and square, with a stone base, I couldn't be more pleased with the new tank. These install teams worked well together. Finally, I had to have a 6" Stainless Steel Chimney Flue liner installed with the system. Petro was contracted to do this work, and completed the job quickly and professionally. Many years and three generations of us have had Meenan Oil without there ever being a problem. They are reputable, efficient and courteous. I would highly recommend them. more

We had Meenan years ago and were sold a bad heater that their own techs could not service. We had to switch companies in the middle of the warranty to get the heater working properly. The reps were rude and ignorant and the sales force misleading and unethical. Fast forward almost 25 years and we are in a new home. Meenan told the previous owners that the service contract would transfer to us as the new owners. \r The sales rep came out and we put a plan together(i am stupid enough to believe in 2nd chances) and then we get a call that we are not accepted as customers by the very rude woman in credit dept. Turns out the sale rep lied and misled us(surprise surprise) and they will NOT honor the contract either. \r I would run as fast as possible to ANY oil company other than Meenan unless you want to deal with poor service, unethical practices, and poorly trained techs. more

Meenan has been our oil company for 13+ years. Whenever we have had trouble with our furnace, they have come out that same day to take a look at it, usually within a couple hours. Our oil deliveries are always on time, too. I would highly recommend them. more
