I wanted to say thank you so very much once again for the dinner last night. The food was amazing and the Steelhawks cake was so amazing, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of ...

Worst

We had our wedding at the Meadows and I was extremely nervous from the time we booked the place. Russell is extremely unorganized and he gets off track during important meetings. ...

By far best choice for our wedding... 9/17/2008

We just returned from our honeymoon (BTW you MUST go to Cozumel, Mexico) anyway, i just wanted to say that the Meadows in Hellertown is the greatest place for a wedding. I've been to many weddings in my life and our wedding topped them all. The guests loved the food and service. My wife couldn't say enough about the waitress who waited on her hand and foot all night. And the band was amazing! People were coming up to us all night and saying how much fun they were having. Even my little grandmother was out there dancing!! The only bad thing all night was the weather. It was off and on all night but that didn't stop the staff from taking extra special care of us. The owner even offered to put up the sides of his tent (yes, we did have the tent wedding and i REALLY recommend it, the scenery out there is great)... we chose to leave the sides down but just the fact that he was willing to have his staff come out and put up sides in the middle of a busy night shows a lot about his willingness to work with a couple on their special day. I can't say enough about our experience there. We will recommend them to anyone we know who's looking to get married and have an amazing night for VERY reasonable prices. Thank you again people at the meadows! Pros: price, staff, FOOD, the house band Cons: nothing more

a good plan 9/15/2008

I just wanted to say an extra thank you especially to your staff for making my daughters wedding a special day.\r \r We were very unsure if there was going to be a reception, but you and your staff came up with a plan that made what seemed like a disaster into a very memorable day. Thank you all again and God bless all of you.\r Rose more

peaceful 9/15/2008

Thanks so much for letting us use the Chelette Room at the Medows. It was great to have wonderful food and a place to eat with everyone where it was peaceful, private, and quiet. Going to restaurants is difficult since every one is over 60. Being in a private room really made the experience even more enjoyable! thanks so much! Pros: accomodating more

We just want to thank you for doing such a great job with everything \r Thanks agian.\r Mr. and Mrs. Roberto S. Pros: Still talking about how beautiful Cons: Too many food choices more

Perfect setting 9/15/2008

Russell, Denise, and staff,\r Thank you for helping to make our day (july 30th) so amazing.\r The meadows was the perfect setting for our wedding and celebration. The transportation, hospitality, food and music were all marked with excellence. Our guests still comment on the entertainment.\r From our family to yours, we thank you for everything.\r Regards,\r Chad and Angela Pros: Perfect place with lots of photo ops. Cons: hard to leave more

Perfect setting 9/15/2008

I was at the meadows twice last week for 2 different weddings.\r I got to see 2 groups of staff members, and can truly say that one was as good as the other.\r The staff was so Helpful. The owner must treat them well because they had taken care of\r the guests as if they too were well taken care of. It was like every one from the bartender to the last server was an owner with the motivation to make us happy enough to want to come back again and again.\r I needed 2 small glasses of wine and they brought me a whole Carafe.\r The waitress made the bride feel so special on Saturday. She made sure they were ready,\r and told the groomsmen when it was time to get started. Then she perfectly timed the bridal party's procession one bridesmaid at a time. I wish all weddings could go that smoothly. If I owned a banquet hall, I would model my business after this one. Thank you for a wonderful time.\r Robert Pros: Perfect setting Cons: can't think of any more

DONT EVER HAVE YOUR WEDDING THERE< YOU WILL BE SO SORRY< I AM!!!! 8/25/2008

OMG The worst place EVER! I had my weddding there because the setting was nice and the prices were reasonable. The WORST mistake I have EVER Made. From the cermony to the reciption was a horrable. They didn't clean the outside, then they started to clean it while my guest were being seated at the ceremony. They were SO RUDE to ALL of my guests. They never lit the centerpieces. They never filled the champange glasses for the toast. They spilled plates on 2 people. They never brought the childrens plates out. There was no cake plate when it was time to cut it. Because diner and clean up was so late I ended up only having 1 hour of dancing. Then during my last song, right in the middle of it, they turned on the lights because our ""time was up"". They were taking off the table clothes at the tables while people were sitting at the tables. They served the food that I paid for the next day at their buffet. And wouldn't let me take it home. The drinks were so watered down at the bar that my guests couldn't even drink them. But most of all they were all VERY RUDE!! Also you pay grauity for the food and the bar when you set up the menu, then they had a tip jar out! I paid 18% tip for each food and bar at the time of my menu set up. That takes a lot of nerve to make me pay a tip and then have a jar out there for more tips. And they are not even nice at all. DON""T EVER THINK OF HAVING YOUR WEDDING THERE. I am sooo upset that I did. more

Planning a wedding.... stay away 4/17/2008

I was planning on having my wedding reception at the Meadows. I put a deposit down 2 years prior to the date because they said they book really quick. A year before the event my finances had changed, and they weren't willing to work with me. The owners ensured me I would get 100% of my money back., being that they still had a year to fill the room. When push came to shove, they kept my deposit and were adamant that they never told me I'd get refunded. I've never been back. As if brides don't have enough stress.... more

worst dining out experience ever 12/26/2007

Our family decided to dine out on Christmas day at the Meadows this year. After the experience we had we will definitely never eat at this establishment again. The selections were very limited but that would not have been a problem if the quality of the food had been acceptable. The salad bar remained empty for the enitre first half of our meal and the dressing containers were dripping dressing down the sides of the containers. The staff did not seem to be keeping up with the cleanliness and up keep of the buffet. the main courses were available but were barely edible. The waitress did not return with drinks for the children that were ordered when we first sat down. We finally went to the bar and purchased something ourself. She did return near the end of our meal to apologize for forgetting them. We did have high hopes for the desserts but that was a disappoint too. No one was apparently monitoring the dessert bar the few slices of desserts that were left there were chopped and hacked up from other guests attempts to cut them. Not a very appetizing display. We finally asked if they intended to replenish the dessert bar and they reluctently agreed. We were not the only ones having a bad experience since we spoke to other guest who were not happy with the buffet. We heard from some of the waiters that they were under staffed. The service and food were so bad they would probably have been better off staying closed. They are sure to lose future businss from this attempt at a holiday buffet. I know now why they insisted we pay up front before we were seated. Had we not have already paid, we would probably have walked out immediately. In my many years of dining out including on holidays, this was most definitely the worst experience. Cons: too many to mention more

Great Place for a Reunion Event! 9/25/2007

I hosted a high school reunion event at their pavilion, which is located beside the Beethoven Waldheim nearby at 1991 Meadows Rd., and it was fabulous! The service from the staff at the Meadows was outstanding, and the catering thru Kasey Lynn's Catering was awesome! My entire HS class complimented me (and them!) on how much they enjoyed the entire day! I will definitely use this facility again for our next reunion event. The Meadows and the Kasey Lynn staff worked really, really hard to create an enjoyable day for us, and the food (as well as its preparation and display) was excellent! I would recommend The Meadows to anyone. Wm Allen HS Class of 67. Pros: ambience, staff service, ample space, food preparation and variety, good parking Cons: pavilion building needs some maintenance and clean up more

bad food, bad organization for weddings, RUDE owners 11/10/2006

We were going to have a reception here for our wedding, but the food was bad and they were unorganized and extremely rude. Please save yourself the trouble and hassle and don't deal with this place. The unfortunate thing is the location is beautiful, but for $17,000, I expect better service and food, and at least some respect as a customer. Pros: pretty setting Cons: bad food, bad organizational skills, rude owners/wedding ""coordinators"" more
