I purchased a Groupon for a furnace tuneup and the person who answered the phone was so rude. She asked for my address and I told her I live in holly. She said that they don't go to holly and I was outside their service area. I stated that the Groupon said they service Oakland County and Holly is in Oakland County. She reluctantly took my information, set an appointment for the next day between 9am and 1pm. She said they would call a half hour ahead. I waited the whole time and no one ever called (even after the missed appointment) or showed up to do the work. I had also mentioned to them that I also had an additional expired Groupon and they said that I couldn't use that one at all... even the amount paid for it (which is against the terms and conditions of Groupon). I do NOT recommend this company. However,, I DO recommend Groupon. Their customer service was great and they refunded the money I spent on this company. more

These people are liars 11/23/2009

I called Mastercraft to do a furnace check and made an appointment for Nov.19 2009 between 9am and 1 pm. I received a call from them that they were on the way. Ten minutes later I received a call from thier tech that I was out of thier service area. Morning wasted. Called Mastercraft again to complain, not to bitch and moan but to say they might want to get their people up to date on thier service area, and was basically told go to hell.\r \r I called another heating company called Kast and made an appointment for Nov.23 2009 between 9am-1pm. I went outside for a moment and I received a call. It was Mastercraft saying that they were on the way out to my house. I called Mastercraft and told them I was out of thier service district. They told me I was not but I told them about the last service appointment and what I was told by thier tech and gave them the tech's name. She told me that the tech was fired for doing that (saying people were out of the service area) to so many other people. So I let the appointment stand. I then called the tech who previously called me the week before saying I was out of thier service area. I asked him if he still worked for Mastercraft and he said yes. So I was lied too. Basically the same prick who wons Mastercraft owns Kast, Cherry Hill and Daniels. \r \r I called Mastercraft again and asked for the owner. I tried to tell the story to the owner but his was rude and kept interrupting me. Telling me He told me that the women who take the calls do not know the service area. He offered no apology only excuses and rudeness. Started raising his voice so I hung up and filed a complaint with the BBB. Probably won't do any good but if one person reads it and it cost him a customer then I have done my job. \r \r Cannot do business wwith people that lie to me. They cannot be trusted. For all I know they could rip apart my furnace and tell me I need a new one. \r Cons: Artists more

6/23/09 The technician came out, stated that my central air conditioner had multiple problems and repairs would total $2,000 and should just be replaced at a cost of $2,500. He did not have a receipt book and also left a cigarette butt on my lawn.\r \r I paid another company to come out and they stated that the fan motor was broken and would cost $240. The air conditioner is working fine now.\r \r I contacted Mastercraft for a refund for the service call. The owner stated that the receipt (which was created after the fact, dated for the next day and without my signature) stated the condenser fan was the issue. He would not provide even a partial refund for the service call. He did offer to service my furnace in the fall. However considering the circumstances, I declined the offer.\r \r I believe the technician tried to take advantage of me and the company, in my opinion, should not be trusted. Everything in this statement is true and I have included all of the facts. This is about principle, not $64. more
