Markle Melanie

Melanie is a great therapist. She is not that type to tell you what to do. She enables you to see through your mistakes and she is there to give you support through medication and listening. She does not give orders or tell you what to do. She encourages you and provides a safe place to get your thoughts out without being judged and she was very compassionate. I am a psychology student and studies have shown that if you order someone to do something, they will not push themselves to do it. Inevitably it comes down to their own wants, needs, and cognitive reasoning. You have to arrive at the conclusion to do something on your own. She is there to help you see that conclusion and support you. I don't think you can ask for much more than that because I've seen psychologist and other mental health therapists who give me instructions and I can never follow them. Look up the Stanley Milgrim experiment on radiolab and you will see what I mean when they go into deeper analysis for being given orders by an authoritative figure.\r \r Overall my life has definitely changed as a result of seeing Melanie. She is very intellectual. Very logical. But very compassionate and empathetic but not sympathetic. I discussed my thoughts on certain medications, what they did to me, and we were able to figure out together* what was working best for me and she was also very diligent when it came to making sure the dosages weren't going to cause my serious health problems and even returned calls from the pharmacists promptly. She is an outstanding psychiatric nurse and an exceptional person. more

I do not recommend this therapist, she rarely gives feedback and is not confident in her methods of treatment. more
