They will charge you $1extra on everything for cheese???? Name one Mexican dish that does not come with cheese. Also if you order a Pint of Salsa on carry out they will charge you extra for chips. I think they are under new management and are doing all they can to stay afloat in this economy....but they lost my business for good. I just dont know what happened to them. Pros: Good Salsa, and food Cons: They will nickel and dime you to death for everything more

Best Mexican food downriver (along with Mexican Gardens) 3/17/2009

Even though the place is small, we have never had a problem getting a seat for lunch or dinner. Why drive to Mexican Town in Detroit when you can get better quality food here. Come here during the Holiday's for a visual treat. Hope you like lots of cheese... Pros: great food, good service, fast more

I have been going to Mauels for as long as I can remember because at the time it was the only game in town. They have screwed up my last couple of carry-outs. When I call to let them know they couldnt care less. I am not going back. Ever. It is greasy, very greasy. I will now be getting my Mexican food from Angelinas Mexican Restaurant. Which is also in Allen Park. It is fresh, and not as greasy. I also believe they have more customer focus. Pros: Grease. If your in the mood for that. Cons: Grease, Cramped and poor customer service more

Great Food 9/21/2007

This has to be the best place to get mexican food. It really doesn't look like much. But the Food is great, and served hot. The service is very good. People are really nice. Not much seating.But the food is worth it. I like that they not only have dinners but also has al a carte menu. Big varity too. Great food. Pros: Great mexican food. Cons: Not much seating. more

Good Mexican Food 10/12/2005

Manuel's can be difficult to be seated. It is a small place with some great Mexican food. It is definately worth the wait, but if you can't wait, get take out. Everything from thier tacos to fajitas to the fried ice cream is spectacular. Service is good, the seating area is a bit cramped, but it is worth the trip. For a special treat, visit during October and they decorate the whole place for Halloween. It is just an extra twist to a great Mexican meal. The fish tank is real cool as well. Pros: Great Food, Good Service , Enjoyable Scenery Cons: Parking, Wait Time more
