I took my wife there this past weekend for the first time after our friend from church told us about it. We were excited and couldnt think the place would be as good as our friend told us , but it was actually better! We started with a reasonable priced bottle of wine, and the calimari/shrimp palerma. awesome awesome awesome! a slightly spicy marinara sauce with the crunchy calimari. Next I ordered the stuffed skirt steak that was cooked perfectly while my wife had the penne alla vodka sauce. Pasta was not overcooked and the garlic bread with that incredible sauce was very addicting! Both portions were huge as we had enough to take for lunch the next day. This was nice just to save a little money as well, while the entrees were very reasonably priced. We ended with an expresso that came with a chocalate sambuca shot that was the perfect finishing touch.\r Overall- service was great, food was great, but the most impressive part was the 5 star experience for the 3 star pricing. Great way to treat the wife without breaking the bank. The manager got wind it was our first time there and he even checked to see how things went before we left. Cant wait to go back and try something different, and with the prices- we can afford to go back next weekend! more

I brought my aunty for her first time while here on vacation. She loved it we went three times in one! Also ordered on her second day from the Sushi place next door. Great Sushi I don't know if its the same owners but that's a splendid idea. Lots of fun drinks to choose from and the prices are indeed reasonable. My aunt was real satisfied with her Florida experience. more

The portions are tremendous everyone ate from each other’s plates it was so fun! I had the Lasagna and my boyfriend had the Snapper Oreganato. We started with the Sampler it had Antipasto Italiano. It had a lil of everything so good with our Chianti wine. Then for desert we had the home made tiramisu woooo yummy. Thanks Mama Mia for yet another enjoyable dining experience! more

The quality is not worth the money. The free garlic rolls and free ice water were the best thing about the place. The atmosphere was okay, nothing extraordinary. My husband and I ordered stuffed mushrooms and were seriously disappointed when they served us a cast iron pan filled with something that resembled vomit. We gave it the benefit and attempted a taste but couldn't get over the mushy texture of the 'bread crumb' filling. We ate two and sent them back. Next, I ordered fettucine alfredo...because really, you can never mess that one up, right? Wrong. Again, seriously disappointed because the sauce tasted like something that came out of a jar from the grocery store. I would definitely never return for another meal. Save your money and get a jar of Newmans own alfredo store if you ever have a hankering for alfredo. more

Wow. Yes. Wow. \r \r First up was the bread with olive oil/garlic/parmesan that comes to anyone that just sits down. We finished all of it. When asked if we wanted more we declined just because we wanted room in our tummies.\r \r Ordered one of their American Cheeseburgers. The waitress actually suggested we NOT order anything else. Only $9.95. What came out was an INCREDIBLY large cheeseburger with all the fixings that took up a whole plate. I think it was a full pound of meat. Grilled perfectly...medium rare as I asked. We split it up in quarters and only finished 3 out of the 4. We were STUFFED. Not only a bargain but an outstanding burger. ORDER IT!!!! Mama Mia's was good enough that we decided to spend Thanksgiving Dinner there. We have a table for two already reserved.\r \r The service was outstanding, although there weren't too many people at the restaurant for lunch on a Tuesday. The waitress was SUPER sweet and very attentive.\r \r I rate a LOT of restaurants on UrbanSpoon (see my profile). I'll be back A LOT. more

My Best Friend told me this was an incredible place. He and his wife just moved here from S. Cal. - so what do they really know about good food? I mean really - CalMex! OK - I give up - Bobby knows his stuff - No more doubting - this is an incredible restaurant!! Bobby said to order the meatball as an appetizer - he hit the mark! Just incredible. Huge - with melted cheese inside - WOW! But the best was to come. He "told" me to order the veal - cheese only on top - sauce on the side. Again - he hit the mark. I have never seen such a tremendous, thin and crisp - but moist piece of lightly breaded pan fried veal - The sauce was perfect and great for dipping - but as Bobby said - on the side it did not drown the veal and make it soggy. IT WAS SUPEB - a NEW standard for me. I will make the ride from Jupiter to Hollywood for Mama Mia's and I have told pile of friends. DO NOT MISS IT more

I've been to Italy twice, and I can't say enough about the food and the wine. I must say that Mamma Mia is authentic Italian, with wonderfully authentic food and great (red) wine. It's a family-owned restaurant and appears to do great business. My server was a young Italian gentleman with excellent english and Italian. As appetizers, we got different salads and garlic rolls. And as main courses we got skirt steak and snapper pomordoro. Delicious! We were full after the entrees, but we couldn't say no to desert. We tried the canolis and tiramisu. They were tasty and really well presented. I'll definitely go again next time I'm in town. more

A feast !! 8/16/2011

This restaurant was a feast for the eyes and the palette! We arrived well after 8pm on a Friday night expecting an easy seating and arrived to a packed house. They must be doing something right! Luckily for us, the 45 minute wait was in reality merely 20, and we were swiftly greeted by our server after being seated.\r \r My colleagues and I chose antipasto and seafood salads as starters. They were excellent, and we also got the garlic rolls.\r \r For our main courses we chose chicken parm , cheese ravioli with pink sauce, and a skirt steak with potatoes. Everything was rich in flavor and absolutely delicious. We were stuffed, but after seeing the dessert menu, we just could not resist. So, we shared a canoli and a tiramisu. \r \r The fact that we were unable to finish either dessert is not a reflection of the flavor or quality; in fact the opposite is true. We were simply too stuffed to continue. So be forewarned, you simply must save room for dessert! It is a crime to leave any crumb behind. \r \r more

We went to this upscale restaurant on the recommendation of one of our friends, who has lived in Hollywood for many years. At 9:30 p.m., the place was pretty crowded, but we were able to seat without reservations. They serve a full menu of Italian entrees that include steak, chicke parm, snapper and excellent pasta!. It is simply excellent food - the kind you wish your grandma made. The tomato sauce is wonderful. The fresh garlic rolls are awesome. Service was excellent. It has a fun atmosphere with lots of options to choose from. The portions are very large, so you'll have enough for another meal. more
