As it was my first time renting out my home, I wanted to go with a property manager instead of trying to figure out how to rent on my own. I went with Mainlander because their name came up quickly with my web search, and the website looked very professional. Unfortunately, I was very unpleased with their work. I told them that since I was the current occupant, that the house would be ready to rent by Sept 1, and that I would be out and the house would be clean by the third week in August. They either didn't believe me or didn't listen to my wishes, because they listed the house as available on Sept 15. The house needed some touch-up painting in some of the rooms, so I asked if they could help me with this service, and they said that their painter wouldn't be available for a month and a half. I did the painting myself. On their website, they wrongly listed it as having 2 BA when it had 2.5. I called them to correct it, but it was never changed on the website. Although they did find me a renter within a month, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. After a year, I decided to be my own property manager, as it didn't seem Mainlander was doing anything but taking $100 out of my rent check each month. Talking with the tenants, they were just as dissatisfied. They said that Mainlander never came to fix the repairs that they had called in. Go with a different Property Management company.
