Meh 8/14/2011

Used a Living Social coupon to try the place tonight. The service was decent and the food was decent, but just that... decent. Nothing I or my family had there was particularly good. It was just adequate. I *rarely* salt my food at restaurants, but both my soup (the clam chowder) and my entree (the mac and cheese) needed salt. Even once the salt perked them up, they were still sort of bland. My wife had their salmon special and she finished it, but it was similarly merely good enough. There's no real complaint . But there's no point in paying good money for merely adequate food when lots of other restaurants in the area are delivering better food at a similar price point. more

went for fathers day breakfest 6/23/2010

Went to Maddox grill on Fathers day. I was very disappointed. Coffee was so thick you couldn?t cut it with cream. I ordered eggs benedict which I asked for extra soft pooched they were way over cooked. The hashbrowns were burnt and not much of them. My wife got the seafood omlet it also was overcooked and she got cold uncooked hashbrown. The scones were great. Pros: scones Cons: everything more

Terrific food 1/10/2009

We must have driven by this restaurant 150 times since we moevd here a year ago & finally noticed it. We liked the atmosphere and the menu items all looked great. We liked the food a lot - blackened halibut sandwich and steak/ravioli. The only issue was it seemed to take an awfully long time for the food to come out. We will definitely go back to try the other items we considered ordering, to see if they were as good as they sound. We thought the prices were very reasonable. Pros: Great food, lots of parking, kept water glasses full Cons: service was a bit slow more

A great little restaurant and bar 12/19/2008

I have stopped at the Maddox Grill a couple times in the past three months and had great experiences both times. The food was very good and they have a terrific selection of beers, including some out of the ordinary brands. The staff is very friendly and the seating is very nice. When I was there, I noticed that there were a number of dinner specials to choose from. I felt that this restaurant was a tremendous value. Pros: Good food, beer selection, hard liquor Cons: It's a little ways off of I-5 more

Maddox Grill 5/12/2008

My wife and I have been going to this Restaurant since it opened and have enjoyed every meal we have had. The decor is upscale without the upscale prices. You never have to wait more than 1-2 minutes for someone to seat you and get you started. There is plenty of parking. The base menu has alot of variety and the daily specials are excellent. The prices are very good. more

We eat there at least once a week and hope that it doesnt start getting too crowded. more

Great Bar, Great Food, Great Staff 5/12/2008

My wife and I have become regulars since moving from Capitol Hill to Brier. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to regular menu items such as the awesome prawn appetizer and Caesar salad with one of the best dressings in the Seattle area there are also rotating daily specials that keep the experience fresh for us. They are also very willing to customize an entree, in terms of sides, if requested. more

Great Neighborhood Restaurant 4/28/2008

For consistantly great food and service we continue to return to Maddox Grill in Lynnwood. The menu has a wide variety of choices from burgers (fabulous!) to steak and seafood. One favorite item is the bread bowl with clam chowder. Another recommendation is the fish and chips, They also have a nice selection of draft beers. In addition to lunch and dinner they serve a delicious breakfast on the weekends with homemade scones. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Ample parking more

Right the First Time 8/25/2007

On a Saturday evening there is no better place. Went with two menu staples instead of the specials and were extremely pleased. This was our first experience and we will certainly return. Had Pan Seared Halibut and Scallops and the Maddox Burger. Both were cooked to perfection and the flavors were well balanced. Our server was Kelli and she was fabulous. Just like a perfect server she was only seen and heard when needed; not overbearing or overzealous but always ready when we needed anything. Prices were more than reasonable. We had an appetizer, drinks, entrees, and desert and spent less than fifty dollars. They also have a decent selection of local beers. Can't wait to try their breakfast some lazy morning. Pros: Great service and seafood Cons: butter was in food service packets when brought out with complimentary bread more
