I got a couple of estimates from other body shops and then I was referred to this Maaco and they gave me an estimate that was about one third what the other two gave me. They did a very good job and I'm happy with the way my car looks. Friendly staff too. Thank you guys! more

Don't recommend taking your car here 11/30/2011

I took a car there after an accident. Two doors needed to be replaced. I was told that it would take 3-4 days. Didn't hear from them so I called. It actually took 7 days. It created a lot of inconvenience since I only have 1 car, When I got my car back, I noticed that they missed a spot in terms of painting the car. When I asked about it, they said that it wasn't included in the work order (which is their error.) I was told that I could leave the car with them again if I wanted that fixed. I chose not to because I coudn't afford to not have my car for work. After a couple of days, one of the replaced doors would not open from the outside. Also, when I drove the car on the highway, there was a whistle coming from the other door as if it wasn't sealed properly. So had to take it back after all. The whistle is still there after I got it back but I'm not taking it back. I hope to spare you a similar experience. p.s. I noticed that the 2/10/11 five star review is actually from the owner himself, not a customer. more

I had read the previous reviews before writing this. It makes me feel that some people expect a lot from a cheap paint job. You get what you pay for, but there are alot of things you can do yourself to ensure that you get closer to your vision of perfection. 1st off if your not expecting overspray on your parts your crazy. things you can do (A) remove your parts or tape up yourself (B) pay maaco to remove and install your parts to ensure they won't get painted, its common sense, there will be a lot of imperfections if you do nothing. I had taken my 98 prelude to them and talked with 3 employees. None of them treated me unfairly. They were willing to work with me on a price and sat down with me to help look for my specific color. Before taking my car to them I looked at my car and took all my parts off that I thought could be accidently oversprayed. Thats right I said accidently, I find it hard to believe maaco employees are out to ruin your car and your day. Once I came to pic my car up I wasn't completely satisfied. They didn't paint my sideskirts that went in the door jamb. I know that painting door jambs cost extra I just assumed they would paint them and I know I wasn't specific to begin with. I was mad at first but then I realized it was my fault, I didn't specify. There was also overspray on some parts of the car but an employee was right on it to make sure I was satisfied. Looking at the big picture of it all $905 and one kick azz looking car it was well worth the petty imperfections. I will recommend there services to anyone , But if your looking for perfection go somewhere that will charge you for it. Also do your research and ask questions if you care about your car as much as I do. thanks Pros: great customer service, price, and speediness Cons: communication more

Customer service SUCKED, almost worse than quality of work 9/23/2008

I would NEVER recommend this shop to ANYONE! It took them three EXTRA weeks to get the car done. After paying over $2000.000 for them to fix and paint the front end they STILL couldn't get it right. We tried it pick it up three different times and it was just never right. The first time there was paint that ""dripped"" on the car over the night so they needed to ""buff"" it out. Next, the radiator leaked after not even getting 1/4 of a mile down the road (after they assured us that it went under ""extensive testing"" to make sure it didn't leak). The final time we went to pick it up it was missing parts, the blinkers didn't work and there was paint on the headlights! They couldn't even clean up after themselves. We got the car back dirty and dusty and they were just RUDE!!! After trying three times to get them to fix their mistakes we just walked away! It was WORTHLESS! The manager said he wouldn't want his car looking like this, but he'd send out a car like this? UNBELIEVEABLE! \r \r We originally went there because it was inexpensive....but what we got was CHEAP, thrown together work! I would have spent $2000.00 more elsewhere to have not had to deal with these people!!! Pros: Quoted us a good price (althought not the accurate price) Cons: Didn't stick to quote, took a lot longer than expected, service NOT completed satisfactory more

The service was inadequate for the following reasons; 8/28/2007

1. Paint and or overspray on parts where there is not supposed to be paint which include but are not limited to;\r 1 Wheel rim (front passenger side)\r 1 Tire (front passenger side)\r Two mouldings (roof)\r Front nozzle washer\r Back nozzle washer\r Louvers on trunk\r Headlights (all)\r Headlining \r Center pillars (driver and passenger side)\r All inner fenders\r Plastic liner in trunk and,\r Exhaust pipe \r \r 2. Coats of paint either thin or missing;\r Inside fender by hood\r Bumpers\r Surrounding windows\r Rear emblem\r Roof (on back edge)\r Mirrors\r \r 3. Flaws in paint (dirt and or grease) \r Left quarter panel\r Left pillar\r Whole left fender\r Under door handles\r Bumper\r Right fender (rectangle in paint)\r Front passenger side door\r Rear passenger side door\r Right quarter panel\r Rear bumper\r Jams were not wipe clear of grease now paint is fish eyed\r \r 4. Body work that was said to be fixed when dropping off car (John, you marked this with tape) the fee paid included three hours of body work for $149.99\r Rear bumper center\r Left and right fender\r Rear passenger door ding\r Front bumper\r \r 5. Glue on rear bumper where rear bumper protector was glued down and moved (this should have been taped down not glued.\r \r 6. Cut tint and painted tint on windows\r \r 7. Grease and dirt on the inside headliner\r \r 8. Not all parts of my car were returned to me with the car\r \r 9. Front bumper on driver?s side was glued in place but not bolted after two days of driving now hangs off.\r \r 10. Invoice incorrect (dates)\r \r I am disappointed, I went to Maaco because I thought it was a name I could trust, Americas Auto Body. I am more than dissatisfied with the work done to my car. I spoke to several credible shops all of them telling me not to wash my car for the first month, which I found interesting because maaco told me to wash my car as often as possible. After speaking to their customer service found that if I were to do that it would void my warranty. \r \r more

Step 1: Body Repair - Worried about those small dents and unsightly scratches ruining your paint job? Our body repair technicians have mastered the method of eliminating those blemishes down to a Five-Step Process to ensure that your finish is free from those small dents and unsightly scratches.
Step 2: Surface Preparation - You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. At Maaco, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come.
Step 3: Surface Sealer - Sealer plays that all-important role of establishing a barrier between the old and new paint. This ensures consistent color and a higher gloss throughout the entire painted surface. At Maaco we offer 3 grades of sealer. The right choice is all about durability, and ultimately the amount of prep work needed for your particular vehicle. When it comes to the durability of your vehicle's paint, sealer helps keep consistent shine long after the job is done.
Step 4: Paint Services - We offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic,Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability,and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance.
Step 5: Protection & Services - A great paint job deserves great protection. We often apply clear coats to our paint jobs to not only protect the paint, but to ensure an accurate gloss match and an overall seamless repair.
