BEST PLACE IN TOWN 8/3/2008

I happen to Love Luxaderm. Yes they have new Management, however the managment and the staff both have been wonderful to my husband and myself. At first, after the new managment, things were very heavy when walking into Luxaderm. But I thing now they have the kinks work out between the staff and the new managment and things have returned back to the relaxing, fun, enjoyable environmrnt that it use to be. I actually have enjoyed my facials with the curly haired girl. I use to go to Sarah and then Chandra and now Mandy. None of them have been chatty during facials. I actually had a facial from Mandy recently and then I scheduled to get a chemical peel from her. Trust me if she WAS chatty Kathy so to say I would not request her again. Luxaderm will pull through all the negative people who just don't like change. Just because old managment may be the people that you are use to, does not mean that change isn't good. As far as the new managment goes, I think that the change couldn't have come at a better time. Sometimes old gets boring. Pros: Location Cons: music :-) more

I've decided to find a new spa 8/2/2008

I'm an OSU Professor and when we have special people coming in from out of town, we have taken them to Luxaderm. I hadn't been there since last year and was anxious to go and decided to bring my friend with me who is an attorney. I can say I witnessed the change in Management first hand. While our services were fine, the spa had a different character about it. The best to to describe it is ""doom and gloom"". It doesn't not have the same flair to it anymore. There is certainly a ""heaviness"" in the air when you walk in and it doesn't seem as inviting as it used to be. This is supposed to be a luxurious spa and there isn't anything luxurious about it. We used to get little treats and felt very relaxed. We walked in, checked in and that was about it. Come to find out there is new Management and that's a shame. A spa should be about the experience along with providing the servives. This new Management team should take some lessons in Customer Service and catering to your Clients. Unfortunately, we will be choosing a new spa at Easton to go to. I hear there are several more. Pros: Used to be a great place Cons: New Management more

On My Gosh...Please avoid 8/2/2008

I went in recently for a facial and it was done by the lady with longer curly hair and she would not stop talking the entire time I was in the room! How are you supposed to relax with someome chit chatting and laughing constantly?? Needless to say, I was prepared to say something to the manager, but when I went to the front desk to ask for her, the lady who was behind the desk tried to help me instead because she said the manager was not in a good mood that day and didn't want me to get more upset! I thanked for sparing me and she said her name was Marie and that the Manager's name is Christine, I think. I can't remember who the lady was who did my facial. Wow, can you believe she was trying to protect me from the Manager? After reading these posts, I can see why she said that. If you go, ask for ayone other than the lady with longer curly hair! Pros: Convenient to where I live Cons: A lot more

If you want a massage thisis the place to go!!!! 7/31/2008

I am confused on the negativity that this place is receiving! I have been to several Spa's in my travels, and this is a great place to go. I have had the best massage at this Spa. I have had massages from about three different people and they all were great! I have never felt anything less than special and appreciated. Every time I come to town they are very accommodating, even if I call at the last minute they do their best to get me in. I have met the new manger and she seems nothing less than nice. As far as the salad dressing goes, I'm sure if they were an Olive Garden they would have been able to accommodate. Like most Spa's they probable have the meals catered in. So please go to this Place and have a Luxurious day with the staff! Pros: Everything about it Cons: Nothing At all more

Please read about our experience 7/27/2008

Hi to all,\r \r I am reading these reviews and it seems to be about staff. I am a real client, in fact my Mother & I went to Luxaderm not too long ago and had a horrible experience. Anyone who wants to see first hand how this Manager is, see for yourself. She is a very rude person. We went in there and had lunch and treatments. The Manager gave us only 15 minutes to eat and we really felt rushed. My Mother asked for a different type of salad dressing and the Manager said very rudely that if she wanted a different type of salad dressing, she should have made that decison before she ordered and there was nothing that could be done. My Mother was very upset and felt put off. The Customer Service there is lacking and this is something you can't make up. We won't be coming back again. My Mother did not deserve to be talked to like that.\r This is not about staff, this is about the Manager's rude behavior. Pros: We enjoyed treatments Cons: Manager is very rude more

Ignore the bashing...sounds like sour grapes! 7/26/2008

This place is great. They will do everything possible to accommodate your needs or schedule. I have been a long time client of both the old and the new staff and management and though there have been some changes, Luxaderm is still a wonderful place to get pampered! I recently spent about 4.5 hours there getting a facial, massage, lunch, and my nails done...the staff was enthusiastic, attentive, and terrific at thier services. I was greeted and checked out by the new manager herself and she was as pleasant and friendly as could be. I was shocked to read the negative comments posted here! I'm inclined to think that a member or two of the old staff has an axe to grind and it's a real shame that they have to insult the entire staff, management, and great reputation of Dr. Walker to do it. Grow up ladies....you are obviously 'old staff' for a good reason! I encourage anyone looking to be spoiled and get top quality treatments to visit Luxaderm...it's addicting and once you go, you'll become a long standing client as well! Pros: Accommodating, Friendly more

I have just experienced the warmest hospitality and best customer service!!! 7/25/2008

My dear friends,\r I highly recommend LuxaDerm to all my friends and associates! This was my first time going there and I can't thank the ENTIRE staff enough for their warm hospitality and professionalism. I went in the day before my wedding with my mother, mother-in-law-to-be, and my sister. I was a bundle of nerves. The entire staff made my day! The nail technicians made our hands and feet look beautiful! The manager checked us in at the front desk and even came back to the nail area to check on us. She brought us water and coffee, and made sure we were enjoying our time. We were sooo pampered. It was just what I needed! We had the best time! Please go to LuxaDerm you won't be sorry! Pros: Excellent customer service in a beautiful setting! Fabulous! Cons: None! more

Manager at Luxaderm is a sarcastic, nasty b....! 7/13/2008

Please read: I am advising anyone who wants a nice spa experience to not go to Luxaderm! The manager, Christine, is a real live nasty, b....! She is rude to her staff, corrects them right in front of the client in a very rude way. As a client, well actually a former client now, you feel awkward when she does this. She is very controlling and it shows because the place is empty. I feel sorry for anyone who works for her. She was very sarcastic and mean to me and I was a client! Does she not know you are supposed to make your clients feel wonderful?? What was Dr. Walker thinking when he hired such a horrible person?\r Just please, don't go there and you'll be glad you didn't. Pros: Nice staff Cons: Manager needs to be fired more

DO NOT GO TO LUXADERM!!!!!!!!! 6/3/2008

I used to love Luxaderm, too. They used to be awesome. I hadn't been in since last year and I brought a friend in to schedule an appointment with the girl I used to go to for facials and my eyebrows, Sara. When I asked about Sara, the manager was a TOTAL WITCH! She even kind of looked like a witch. I couldn't believe that a manager at a spa would be so completely unprofessional. Aren't they kind of supposed to kiss your butt? Obviously this hunchback hadn't recieved the update. Well aparrently NONE of the same people work there anymore. I didn't even end up making an appointment. DO NOT GO TO LUXADERM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: nice location Cons: RUDE MANAGEMENT! more

DO NOT GO HERE 4/24/2008

This place was amazing. Wonderful reception, talented professionals, great prices. I had been going there for over 2 years.\r \r Then the management changed. \r \r Almost none of the original professionals are there anymore. It is very unwelcoming and the service has been compromised. From the waxing to the ""newly enforced"" laser hair removal minimum charges...you will be broke and unhappy.\r \r I am heartbroken because I was a very loyal client, and now I need to find all new spas.\r \r DO NOT GO HERE. Save your money and look elsewhere. Pros: NOTHING ANYMORE Cons: HORRENDOUS MANAGEMENT more

Excellent! 1/13/2006
