Lush Cosmetics is an incredible store! Their staff is always friendly and helpful. You won't find better soaps, scrubs and facial masks anywhere else! It can get a little pricey, ...

a Lush experience 5/17/2006

I'm one of the few people around who still hasn't jumped on the Lush bandwagon, but even I can admit that the stuff is nice. You can smell the store from the street, and once inside, you'll want to run around and sniff everything. The bath melts and bath bombs are a favorite and a worthwhile indulgent treat. The shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and shower gels earn rave reviews from customers as well, but aren't for those on a tight budget. If you're looking for indulgence, stop in on occasion, but save this stuff for a treat if you've not got much to spend. more

Total Sensory Explosion 5/13/2006

The melange of scents would knock you over as you enter LUSH, if your nose hadn't anticipated it half a block away. If you like natura, rough-hewnl or really sensual bath products, this is your place. Everything here is handmade and some of it has expiration dates. The individual scents are not nearly as overwhelming at home as they are in the store, so don't be afraid to try something. My favorites include the bath bombs (you can crack the big ones in two with a hammer at home if you are on a budget) and the Flying Fox shower gel, where honey is the first ingredient and the jasmine you smell is real. I also have a few friends who swear the henna here is the best anywhere. The salespeople can be a little aggressive but remember, you can say "I'm just poking around, thanks" and they'll leave you alone. more

The name says it all! 3/10/2006

Lush cosmetics is a fun store to visit whether you're looking for bath products for yourself or unique gifts for your favorite sister, aunt or friend. This store has a large selection of natural soaps and bath salts in all colors and flavors. They also feature a huge line of organic cosmetics. Delivery is available to most locations in the country, making gift options easy. Be warned though that during the summer months the organic products may experience meltdown more easily than their non-organic counterparts en route to their final destination. Do not leave them in your hot car as you shop! more

Walking down Newbury Street, you can smell Lush from several blocks away. When you finally walk inside the store, the smell is overpowering – but in a good way. Boasting vegan bath products, Lush sells sensuous, delicious, and healthy soaps and scents for reasonable prices. Finally, an organic option to Sephora! more

LUSH-A Little Piece of Heaven on Newbury Street 7/1/2005

I have been a fan of LUSH products for over 10 years now. Back in those days I had to stock up when I went to England. By stocking up I mean filling every available space in my luggage with highly scented bath bombs, soaps, shampoos and goodies. I would then carefully ration the products, so I wouldn't run out too long before I could return. Imagine my delight when I moved to Boston and LUSH opened a store on Newbury Street! Walking in that store, or even walking past it, is like heaven to me. The products are quite highly scented and just smell great. Inside the store are jars of coffee beans you can sniff when you get sensory overload. The selection of products at LUSH varies widely, with traditional bath bombs, to fresh skin care and cosmetics that have to be refrigerated. My favorite products are bath bombs, small bath that you drop in your bath water that fizz, scent, and sometimes color the water. They are just gorgeous. There are seasonally available products too, which are not to be missed. These are limited edition bombs, soaps, and products only available during the holidays. The only problem is getting absolutely addicted to a product which is unavailable soon after. The store is laid out well, ingredients of each product are clearly listed, as are prices. The ingredients are all food grade products, but don't eat the soap! The staff is cheerful and friendly, and very helpful when you need help. While prices are somewhat on the expensive side, the value is very good. (Little tip-You can split the bath bombs in half and only use one half at a time!) All in all, it's just a great store and a great experience. Check it out. more
