This is by far the largest costume shop in Austin, and it's the greatest fun to visit or shop. It gets very, very crowded near Halloween, so if you need a costume for a party go early or be prepared to put up with the crowds. As far as the costumes, you can rent of buy, and the prices are very reasonable. The variety in costumes and sizes available is huge - you will find what you're looking for or perhaps something better. They also have a section dedicated to accessories like wigs, makeup and other things you might need to make your costume a smashing success. more

Who will you be 8/27/2005

This is probably the biggest costume shop I have every been in. It's not only a big shop but it's packed to the gills with every costume you can every imagine. They sell full costumes here as well as accessories for putting together your own costume like wigs, shoes, hats, and makeup. This isn't one of those shops that opens up a few weeks before Halloween then closes on November 1st, they are open year round so if you need a costume for another holiday or party make this your first stop. They also have a great selection of masks. Be warned though if you want to rent a costume for Halloween go early, this place gets busy at that time. more

Great costumes! 8/19/2005

Lucy is Disguise is a great costume shop where you are likely to find just what you need. They offer some great quality costumes and you can either rent or buy them. They are pretty pricey though, so be sure it is what you want, and that you can't find it anywhere else. The staff is great at helping sizing and they explain the rental agreement really well. more

Find what you really want for Halloween 8/17/2005

The perfect store, for the perfect costume. This place was my last resort for Halloween when I couldn’t find any Kill Bill Costumes anywhere! Sure, I paid a little more than I would have liked to, but they had it. This place is completely packed during Halloween (obviously) as they cary a ton of costumes. They will even BUY back other costumes from you as well. We bought a costume on-line that was too small, they gave me store credit for it. I was pleasantly surprised. They have plenty of help during the Halloween season, but look to Lucy in the future for any costume you’ll ever need. more

Thousands to choose from 8/16/2005

This costume shop has thousands of costumes to choose from. They range from very child like costumes to grown up .. very "adult" costumes. They have something for everyone. THey also have a section to make masks and wigs. Each piece can be rented or owned.. but beware during the halloween season this place is packed beyond belief more

Great Place for Halloween - And All Year Round! 7/25/2005

If you expect to shop here for your Halloween costume, show up early! The week before Halloween you will find lines around the block. The reason this place is so popular? It's full of great costume ideas! And they are rentable! But the real surprise is that most people don't realize that they are a good thrift store as well. It's a great place to find vintage clothing -- I love their vintage swimsuits! So shop early for Halloween. And visit the rest of the year for some great thrift deals. more

I went in to look for some specific halloween makeup and even though it was very crowded the staff was extremely helpful and very quick. They have huge selection of everything costume related that you can think of. They have good costumes but are way over priced. don't go there expected to spend less than $40 for an entire outfit. more
