Beautiful recreation area and camp grounds surrounding a nice lake. Here are the reasons we may never go back, there was a very large garbage can with a horrible stench of fish guts, stationed near the Mallard camp ground, were we were located. It was so bad we had to close the windows on our trailer. The next day while we were off at the beach the new campers came in set up camp next to us. We came back to people who encroached in our area, putting their tent up about three feet from our fire pit, their pit bull stretching at the end of its chain, barking and growling at us and our dogs. We were in the Trailer/RV sites, not the tent camping sites. (These sights are set up much closer to one another.) We asked them nicely to move their tent so we could use our fire pit and to get their dog away from us and our dogs. They got an attitude immediately and we had to listen to it. They moved the dog over a little but it continued to snarl etc. We spoke to the Ranger and he said all he could do is talk to them. Being as they were already drinking and using foul language, and us not wanting any trouble, we packed up and kissed our money goodbye for a 3 night stay, 2 dogs, 2 fishing license, money for gas and no other camping options as it was a holiday weekend.
