Be wary 10/5/2011

Recently had my oil changed there and they told me they ran a test that showed my battery needed immediate replacement ($120 or so to replace). Told them not to do it, then went down to Pep Boys on Columbus and had them run a free battery test. Nothing wrong with the battery. more

CRIMINALS 9/16/2011

Made the mistake of getting towed here when my timing belt broke, since it is near my house and a AAA approved garage. These CRIMINALS quoted me for an $1800 valve job before they even knew if the valves were really damaged. For their expert diagnosis, I was charged $70 for a compression Test which I doubt was ever performed (can't do compression test without first replacing the timing belt). I guess they were counting on me not having a lot of options since I was towed in. I called their bluff and had the car towed to another mechanic that I trust. Turns out the valves were not damaged, and I had the timing belt, tensioners, misc belts replaced, oil change, and labor for $750. more

Great Service!! 6/4/2011

I took my 02 Toyota Camry to the local dealer for inspection and oil change. They failed inspection because of left front brake caliper hanging up, right rear caliper seized and rear rotors rusty/pitted.. Dealership told me those items would cost me over $1000 to repair and replace as needed. I wasn't satisfied with the price the dealership quoted so I gave Linnett's Gulf a call. They got me in quickly for the estimate and actually ""showed"" me the problems with the brakes. I gave them the go-ahead to make the repairs: new rotors, calipers and pads for right/left rear and rebuilt left front caliper and new pads right/left front. They did all the work in less than 2 hours. The cost to me was a lot less than the dealership and they replaced more parts than what the dealership was planning to do. The guys at Linnetts Gulf were excellent to deal with, they showed me what and where the problems were located and what was needed to make the repairs on my car. These guys were straight up from the beginning, did what they said they were going to do, in a timely manner and for a great price. I highly recommend! more

Love this place! 5/12/2011

On my way to work the other day, I noticed a strange noise, which sounded like it had something to do with one of my tires. I pulled into Linnett's Gulf to see if someone would be able to take a look at my car. I was pleasantly surprised that, given the fact they seemed very busy, a nice guy took the time to immediately come outside and check out the tires. I had a screw in the tire, which was easily removed and plugged. I was on my way within 15 minutes. Given the professionalism, courtesy and honesty of this repair shop, I will be a returning customer; who will recommend this place to all of my friends in the area. more

Quick, Friendly Service 10/9/2010

I am surprised to see the negative reviews here. I stopped in to Linnett's not really knowing what to expect when my protection plate came loose as I was driving home. The manager was friendly and said it wasn't a big fix, he would get me in and out as soon as possible. He fit me in between what looked to be a very busy day. I was very happy with my experience and with the amount of traffic I saw, it seems like they have many other happy customers as well. more

Sketchy as a business and as a neighbor 2/7/2010

The station leaves its pumps on after all attendants have left, which doesn't seem safe. (Shouldn't there be someone to man a cut-off switch?) Pump machines are routinely out of paper for printing receipts. And I have never seen their sidewalks cleared of snow: they just wait until it melts. On the plus side, the soda machine does sell 20 oz. bottles for $1.10. Pros: Cheap 20 oz. soda Cons: Lax safety, lax customer service, poor neighbor more

HORRIBLE!! 4/30/2009

Too slow! They left my car at the lot for more than 12hrs without even having looked at it! And they make you feel guilty for calling them to check up on it. Apparently these people think that everyone has 2 cars or something. I had 20 things to do and was not able to do any of it because of their laziness. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE level of care. Pros: NONE! Cons: see below more
