Xangis does not know what he is talking about. I have been a customer for about 10 years or so. There are NO bars on the windows, and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE BUZZED IN....these inaccurate statements clearly diminish the credibility of his review. As far as the ""patchy, bad-ish"" neighborhood....maybe a little offensive the the other businesses or homeowners in the neighborhood?....\r \r The owner has been in business for over 40 years. You can't do that unless you provide a good product at a fair price, and have excellent customer service. They have the best selection of stamps in Columbus. The owner is extremely knowledgable, and has always been very pleasant to work with. I would recommend this dealer to any of my family or friends. more

this dealer has the most complete inventory in central ohio. He is knowledgeable and helpful. His prices are so low they come as a plesent surprise. more

In searching the internet, I was a little surprised by the negative comments on this site for Link Stamp Company. The Link Stamp Company has been in business for over 40 years and I have been a customer more than half of those. There are no bars on the windows. There is no buzzer to buzz people in. The only time I have ever seen the door locked is in late afternoon when it gets dark before he closes. A simple little tap on the door will get you admittance. The shop is in an area where there is a Columbus Library, 2 Elementary Schools, a Middle School and a High School within a 4 block radius. Also many other businesses in a very busy part of Livingstone Ave including a Doctor's Office. The Link Stamp Company has a huge stamp stock of both Foreign and U.S with stock being from the high-end material for the serious collector to the inexpensive stamps for the novice collector. Mr. Linker has always been fair in both his prices for his stock and also treatment of his customers while being very knowledgable in his profession. Mr. Linker is sometimes out of the shop to appraise collections and to attend Stamp Shows all over the Eastern part of the United States. So it is probably best to call before stopping in. Over the years, I have had a very pleasurable experience shopping at this business. more

This would be a good stamp shop were it not for the owner. The three times I have been in, rather than chatting about stamps or leaving me to browse in peace, he felt the need to pontificate laboriously about whatever political topic had his dander up. The selection is fairly good, but it can be hard to concentrate on what you're looking for with all of the jabbering. The location is a little creepy, being in one of those patchy bad-ish but still OK in daylight parts of town and you have to be buzzed in.
