The WORST bar in and around South Bend. I have been to Notre Dame twice and both times, this place sucked!!!! First of all, got my butt grabbed by more dudes than at a real gay bar. Second of all, the cougar bartender that looks like she stared in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man, took my buddies beer and then kicked him out for no reason. Last, but not least, imagine 80 ppl stuffed into a cab, that is what it feels like. I wouldn't give this place any stars, but you at least have to give it something. Never again!!!! more

Legendary, Historic, Party Place 11/2/2007

This ain't your Dad's Linebacker anymore. The people are great and the people that are there go for one reason, and that's to party. Great respectful Security, and professional staff keep everything in order. There is a very loose atmoshere and ""What happens at the Backer, Stays at the Backer."" Pros: Atmoshere, Crowd is fun. Lots of talent. Cons: Get's very crowded at peak times. They pack 'em in. more
