I have gone to this pet store for years, as I was a young child I loved this pet store because of the selection of animals. As time went on I started to realize, ""Wow, this is not a good establishment!"", but it was my only resort considering my location. The staff has always been helpful and nice except for the ""high ups"", although helpful and knowledgable are two separate things. In my care I have had over 20 different species of animals from fish to birds, uramastyx to ferrets, rabbits to dogs. I research every animal before I get it for days on end to learn the utmost of the animals behavior, welfare, size, life span, and so on. I have continually gone in this store and heard wrong information given by Let's Pet employees. The store is cluttered to no end, but they did sweep the floor for CHRISTmas I noticed ( Ahhh what a novelty). Oh it is sorta nice that you can buy a used cage all ready for you with all of the fecies from the previous animal already in it, and for the most part those are even over priced. The animals in the store are in poor condition, not only are the cages too small they're also not suitable for the type animal they are housing. For instance, they have a beautiful Macaw in a round cage, well birds aren't even supposed to be in round cages because in some since it causes them to go mad and feather pick. They have many birds that are way too big or overcrowded for their enclosure. They have snakes that are supposedly handled but yet the people that work in that department won't even get them out. The snakes dont have adequate heat or lighting. They have snakes with skin so lose and wrinkled that you could pull it around their body twice, a sign of malnutrition. If you can even see the fish through the algea I guess you could actually pick one out. It's sad that we have such a disgusting place setting an influence for kids and first time pet owners. I wish I could take in every animal there but with the insane prices it would be impossible.
Pros: good location
Cons: All the animals look sickly, over crowded, high prices, filthy cages and building
