Love it! 1/23/2013

My instructor was so great! She cared about what style of music I wanted to sing yet pushed me to find songs that would challenge me. She was fun to work with and I feel so much more confident in my voice! And the administration was very friendly and nice too! I see complaints here on policies, but honestly, as long as you are smart and actually read your contract, it is all pretty standard. more

a+++ 11/24/2012

My son was taking guitar lesions for almost 6 months then decided he didn't want to practice,. LF let me take over the remainder of the lessons I Haddad paid for and key me switch from guitar to piano. The staff was super helpful and the instructors were knowledgeable and very patient. Would highly recommend! more

Cheated by the factory 2/6/2012

There billing practice is simply fradulent. I sent in a cancellation after paying for a whole month but only going to 1 lesson. They continued to bill me for 2 months. Would never recomend someone this dishonest. 1 star rating. more

Lesson Factory Deceptive Business Practices 7/24/2011

Deceptive business practices and billing. Not forthright about how prepaid lessons and breaks from the program work. I prepaid for 12 lessons and only used 4. During personal hardship they talked me into taking a vacation from the program rather than canceling membership. Did not tell me they would keep charging me during vacation even though I already had unused credits. more

Lesson Factory Rocks!!! 11/18/2010

Good quality and great value!! I learned a lot guys. Thanks more

Big improvement 11/7/2010

Honestly, if I had the opportunity I would've given Lesson Factory a lower rating. But I must say, they have made major changes to the program and quality of staff. My two kids love it and so do the other 2 people I've referred. more

Factory 7/13/2010

If you want factory style, with little attention to individual needs, then go to LF. Most will find with a little searching, there are more qualified teachers, who are paid a livable wage and still charge less. Most LF teachers are college students, who don't have bills yet and are underpaid. Level of instruction hit and miss. more

What a relief! A central spot for music professionals. 8/3/2009

The Lesson Factory offers a high-tech, high-touch environment for youth, whether they are sampling a new instrument or an aspiring musician. Having been married to a musician of 25 years and hearing the horror stories of "back room" lessons, the open window, EMP-style environment is appealing for parents. Like any savvy shopper, I suggest you interview/try-out teachers to ensure the best fit. As a mother of four with various interest in music, I guarantee that LF wants to ensure you have the best experience possible. You might find a better price, or perhaps you don't care that your child is taking lessons from some friend who learned by ear... I challenge you to find a better all-around package with real-life opportunities. LF does it right! more

Lots of Flash - Hit and Miss Substance 10/22/2007

Like a well-run car lot, the Lesson Factory is great at selling the dream. Promises of mastering an instrument, performing, and being a rock star, admist the flashy stage with the lights and big screen are a great sell. However, the student's experience can be hit or miss, completely depending on the teacher. LF does not have any curriculum: it is not a school of music. The teachers are musicians who are proficient at playing their instruments, and may or may not be good teachers. The atmosphere is loud, the lessons are short, there is no standard for grading or measuring a students progress. The management is mostly concerned with the upfront sale - and that is reflected in the high turnover rate of students. All in all, the Lesson Factory is an okay place for kids to try out an instrument, but serious students find their education elsewhere. more

Music Lessons 12/30/2005

This business is a central location for taking music lessons for many of the common types of instruments. Each room is self contained with an individual teacher. There is a central waiting area though it is quite busy and noisy. There is shopping nearby if you would rather do that instead of wait. They do cater to young musicians. more
