not a great service, never see the other vets 3/8/2009

We've been going here with our two dogs for 2 1/2 years. From '06-'07 we liked the vets especially the vet who had a baby. I can't remember her name. We never see her anymore. Now it's the same vet all the time and she is kind of "ok". They definitely overcharge and charge for every little thing you can imagine. They don't seem to care about our particular family's income status which is moderate to modest. We love our animals but can not afford to pay for heroic services. They like to play guilt trips and we are starting to see it's simply about them making more money. We have decided to go elsewhere. more

Pricey and only one good vet 12/15/2008

I have to agree with the other reviewer that Leesville overcharges or nickels and dimes you. We've taken 3 dogs there now, over the course of 4 years, and have had mixed satisfaction. For the routine stuff, they're fine, and Dr. Neligon is awesome. But the other vets aren't as personable, and for non-routine care it's fee after fee. For instance, our dog broke her toe a few months ago. I expected the x-rays and initial consult to be a few hundred dollars (which they were), but then the subsequent re-wraps of her splint were $85 each! We just stopped going and let her toe heal on its own. We also had a bad experience when we had to put our older dog to sleep. We didn't get Dr. Neligon, and the woman who did it stuck our poor dog upwards of 7 times, just trying to get the lethal dose of sedative in him. He was yelping, there was blood spurting... it was an AWFUL way for our best friend to go "quietly." more

Good, dependable vet service, outstanding vets! 8/26/2008

We've been taking our dogs to Leesville Animal Hospital for about 4 years. The vets we have dealt with are outstanding. I am not giving LAH 5 stars only because the facilities are pretty average, and it can be very hectic dropping off and picking up at peak hours - something that might be improved with better organization. Also, extending the hours past 5:30 p.m. would make it easier for working folks. That said, we often drop one or both dogs off in the morning and have them cared for by the vet and then have them sent to the on-site groomer, who does a wonderful job. Can't beat that for convenience when you're a busy, working child and animal parent! We have also boarded one of our dogs at the facility, and although she can't speak for herself, she seemed to do just fine. Pros: Terrific veterinarians Cons: Busy, hectic service at peak periods more

Extreme cost and add on to your bill 4/2/2007

Time after time they have price gouged me. Pearce seems to always give you the worse case so you'll do and buy what ever he tells you. Just found out he's the owner too. They tell you one price and charge another. Hvae never gotten out of there under $150. I have spent $2000 in a year there. Was new to the area so didn't know where to go. WAY over priced! Find someone else I am. more
