Best Mexican Food 2/26/2011

This is by far the best Mexican food in Issaquah. My personal favorite is the carne asada. It is a family run business and the staff is always helpful. more

Disgusting food from a can. 3/16/2010

I went here the other night and ordered the chile relleno. First of all, the chilies were from a can. I am not kidding. I know what chilies from a can look and feel like. I paid over $11 for chilies from a can. They then scrambled some eggs and put it on top of these slimy chilies with a ton of gooey cheese. Being disappointed would be an understatement. The beans and rice were just bland and salty as well. The meat in my taco was also incredibly greasy. Probably all made from a can/box and the meat very low quality judging by the ingredients they used for that disgusting chile relleno. \r \r Then when my friend and I tried to pay for our meal, we split the check. I explicitly told the waiter I got the $11 meal and my friend the $8 meal. He still charged us both for the $11 meal! I understand people make mistakes, I have worked in food service before, but at this point I was already pretty annoyed. The waiter didn't seem to care much about us anyway. \r \r Do not go here if you want fresh food or traditional Mexican flavors. This place makes Mexican food an absolute joke. I will never go back here again to pay for something so cheap and poorly made!\r Pros: Nothing. Cons: Food from a can, cold staff, ugly interior. more

Yuck 11/16/2008

I will never ever eat at this establishment again! My daughter was fine going in but went downhill after leaving. I believe she has a food borne illness. This is just one thing. The service sucked. We had to ask for salsa for our chips 2X. It took about 20 mintues to get drinks. I saw a waiter carrying a tray with food on it, some of the food from the dish fell onto the tray. He used his bare hand picked up the food and put it back onto the dish and promptly served it to an unsuspecting customer. I should have said something but I didn't. I am mad at myself for it! \r The amount of grease that was in the rice and beans was disgusting. I couldn't even eat mine.\r I called to talk to the manager today and was told we really don't have a manager, we just have employees. I had to press her for the name of the owner/manager that comes in when he feels like it. She didn't seem to care and was more curious as to who served us last night and where we sat, which had nothing to do with the food. \r Please for you own sake stay away from this place!!!! I wish I could rate it a negative 5 stars! Pros: nice furniture Cons: grease grease grease, bad hygiene, bad service more

Poor customer service and lack of attention to detail 6/10/2008

We had an occasion to dine at Las Margaritas on Monday night with another couple. While we have eaten here in the past with a postive experience, last night will be our last trip to this establishment. The lack of attention to detail, lack of concern to our satisfaction of our meals and the fact that we had to ask repeatedly for simple items will keep us from dining here again. We were seated immediately, the restaurant was aprroximately half full. It took 3 tries from 2 different servers to get cream for our coffee. We were served chips and salsa after we ordered our dinners. Once the chips ran out our server removed the basket and asked if we wanted a refill, which we did. We never saw chips again. Two people in our party of four ordered the same meal.; they served one container of 5 tortillas for each of us to share. The portions were generous but they were very stingy wioth the tortillas meant to be eaten with our meal! Another person in our party ordered a taco salad with chicken and was served lettuce, cheese and chicken...no salsa, condiments or dressing. Had she not ordered chicken on her taco salad, she would have been eating plain lettuce and cheese. Very unsatisfactory! This used to be a great place to eat but they have lost four customers for poor service and lack of attention. Pros: nice decorations, seated promptly Cons: poor service from wait staff more

Great food, friendly service 3/12/2006

We go to Las Margaritas about once every couple of months. They shut down for a awhile to remodel, and they are putting in some fantastic handpainted murals on the walls (the artist was there at lunch last week, and it was fascinating to watch him at work). The restaurant is great for family. As with many Mexican restaurants, the menu is huge, as are the portions. You get unlimited chips and salsa prior to your meal. The seafood enchilada (crab, shrimp) is delicious. Pros: Great food, Friendly Service, Free Parking more

In a Mexican Minute 5/8/2004

This place is like real Mexico. It's not that you wait for your food, they give you time to relax and enjoy the people you are with. Cold cervaza's and chips with salsa. They will bring you the special hot sauce from the back if you request it. The help has always been friendly and it is a favorite place to eat for my sons and I. Pros: Price, Flavour, Service more

Terribly Slow Service 12/30/2003

I have dined at Las Margaritas more than a dozen times in the last year, but our most recent experience has caused my husband and I to resolve never to return. The service was easily the worst in Issaquah. We were seated immediately on a Monday night, and the restaurant was busy, but not full. Overall service was dreadfully slow. Our server was slow to take our order, our table was not serviced (e.g. drink refills, chips and salsa were not refreshed while we waited for our dinner, etc), and the server failed to tally our order correctly. When we received our bill and noted the error, it took 30 minutes to resolve. The food is good, but prepare to wait...and wait...and wait. Pros: Good Food Cons: Slow Service, Incompetent Server more
