BEST Spa in the Triangle, SERIOUSLY. 11/17/2011

La Therapie is an oasis of friendly relaxation. The front desk girls are amazing - always friendly and professional, no matter why I happen to be calling. I have had numerous massages here, both with Susie and with a male therapist (sorry, can't remember the name!) and they were both FANTASTIC - definitely the best I've had in the area, they both listened to all of my qualms and I left feeling like an entirely new person!!!! I also had my first facial ever with Jane, who was an absolute doll - she made me feel comfortable and at ease, almost like I'd known her for years, and my skin afterwards was flawless (which is unusual for me!). Every experience I have had at La Therapie has been incredible from the time I walked in the door. The amazing inhalation room, to the cozy upstairs room to relax between treatments, to the lovely locker room for after treatment usage - all coupled with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Undoubtedly the best Spa in the triangle area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Best maternity massage ever 11/20/2010

I am 6 mos pregnant and just had a maternity massage with Susie. It was fantastic!! I highly recommend her to all expectant moms. It was more than worth the drive from Chapel Hill! Achy back is totally gone; and it was really relaxing. The spa is absolutely beautiful; and the staff is super friendly. It is many steps up from other spas in the area -- they have a waiting area where you can relax in your robe on a couch and have tea and snacks between services; there is a full locker room and an inhalation room. more

Amazing Facial! 3/30/2010

I recently visited La Therapie Spa for the first time and was extremely impressed! I was able to get a facial at the last minute with no problem! As soon as I arrived I was greeted, checked in, and the girls at the front desk made sure that I knew where to go. My esthetician was wonderful! She did not rush through my facial at all. She made sure that I was comfortable with everything she did. She gave me helpful tips and a great massage. I would highly recommend my friends to go! I really enjoyed my visit to La Therapie! Wonderful treatment! 2/22/2010

I had a facial and head/hair treatment with Jane at LaTherapie and it beat out any other I've had in this area. She was wonderful, nurturing, and skilled. Do not miss the head/scalp conditioning treatment as an add-on - it will be the best money you ever spent. Great combination of getting my skin cleared out, but relaxing along the way. Heaven on Earth 11/24/2009

I used to frequent LaTherapie when I was working full time, but times are tighter for me now and I can only go once in a while. I cherish my visits there- it is like an escape from reality! I was very excited to find out that my former massage therapist, Susie, was working again after taking maternity leave. Everyone else I tried there was great, too, but a massage from Susie is like an out of body experience! She relaxes you before going in deep, so it never hurts but still works out the knots- she's perfect! I also tried the new salon and was very happy with my cut and highlights. It's a beautiful environment and feels spa-like and doesn't seem to have the drama that so many salons have. Thank you, La Therapie for always providing the best service! Simply the Best 11/23/2009

I was referred to Nina, owner and my esthetician at the time, for facials probably 6-7 years ago. It was nice to have appointments with her because I witnessed her customer service skills, high expectations of her staff, her sense of humor and she is not a pushy saleswoman. Her products speak for themselves and I LOVE the candles. Nina gave the BEST facials. I value her and her skills! Since she has taken more of an administrative focus, I now see Jane for facials. Jane is wonderful - her touch is soothing (like Nina), I can feel the care and concern she takes with my skin and I enjoy her quirky sense of humor! Thanks Nina, Jane and everyone!! Pros: Great Service & Environment... Cons: Not enough $$ to return more than I already do :) more

I went to La Therapie for a spa day - my friends booked me a surprise day there for my birthday. i had a blueberry facial, massage and pedi. Everyone made me feel so comfortable even though this was my 1st spa experience. I highly recommend you treat yourself! Pros: great evening hours, parking, atmosphere, services Cons: None more

Girls-only spa day! 11/1/2009

Couple of my girlfriends and I visited la therapie recently, and had a wonderful time. All of us had a facial and a massage, then spa lunch. We were happy to see that their inhalation room is open again, because we enjoyed it so much when we were there last time. The spa added a salon, so some of us had their hair and nails done. It was a great relaxation prelude to the girls-only weekend. Pros: great for groups, good quality treatmants, customer service Cons: none more

Doesn't handle complaints professionally 10/1/2009

I had an experience where a massage was advertised as 45 minutes, but from the time I entered the room until the time I left was only 35 minutes. I wrote a letter of complaint. I received no reply. Ten days later I sent another message. I did receive a reply after the second message. I was told that the 45 minutes was the total door-to-door time. I replied back that the door-to-door time *was* only 35 minutes. I send this mail on September 15th, and as of today (October 2nd) I have still not recieved a reply. To be fair, when the service is rendered as advertised, it is very good. Pros: Good services (when rendered) Cons: Does not handle complaints on time, if at all more

I was on business in the RTP, and someone recommended this spa to me. I had a wonderful time at la therapie. The services were great, and on time (very important to me since I'm so busy). My technicians were very professional and knowledgeable, they also made me feel really comfortable. BIG plus, you can also have your hair done after treatments. I hear this is a new thing at the spa-they offer hair services as well. I highly recommend this place. Go see for yourself. GREATEST SPA IN THE TRIANGLE - POSSIBLY THE STATE! 4/7/2009

I am a bit of a spa junkie and have gone to spas in many areas. I love La Therapie as it truly is such a great atmosphere and the technicians are so well trained. I walk in the door and immediately just feel relaxed and ready to start "me" time in a place that is so very warm and inviting. I have had wonderful massages, whether it is for relaxation or sore muscles, they always seem to find the tight muscles and relax them. I love the facials, my skin is just glowing and for days after I have one people comment on how great my skin looks! I do buy products there so I know that makes a difference in my skin. I do not, however, feel pressured to buy any product, which is a pet peeve of mine! Anyone looking for a professional, fantastic and relaxing spa experience, in the triangle, MUST give La Therapie a try - you will NOT be disappointed in any way. You will just be sad that you can't go every day! Pros: Fantastic atmosphere, fabulous facials, wonderful massages, Cons: That I don't have time to go every day! more

I have been going to La Therapie for years for waxing- Becca is awesome! & massage- Audra and Shannon- can't beat them. They are opening a hair salon this year and I will definitely be going to try it out! The front desk staff is so personable and they always remember my name when I come in, it is so nice! Great place for some R & R. Great, refined decor, very friendly, knowledgeable staff, and most importantly to me ? clean. They have all sorts of services, the prices are acceptable for the value you get. Best thing on their menu: triple oxygen facial. Must try item! See for yourself, you will be surprised your skin can look that good. This is their only location, so they paid some serious attention to detail (both, atmosphere and treatment). Two thumbs up!! I just had the Blueberry Facial yesterday at La Therapie Spa and I am so pleased with the overall experience. I loved Courtney (my expert!), the products, the beautiful decor and the service. I will definitely return to La Therapie Spa real soon! I know that there are some unhappy reviews of La Therapie Spa but trust me, they are really the best. Great Customer Service, unbeatable treatments 2/11/2008

Best spa, period. I have visited La Therapie Spa at Preston many times, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Their service is always friendly and if someone does not know the answer to your question they go and figure it out. The girls at the front desk are very informative and always have smiling faces. The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing! I have been there with my boyfriend and with some girlfriends and La Therapie is great for both! The treatments are grreeeaaat, I had the best theraputic massage of my life (and that's saying something). Someone told me that they are coming out with new body treatments and facials and I can't wait to try them out!!! Pros: friendly service, great treatments, awesome atmosphere Cons: none! more

You MUST try La Therapie! 1/1/2008

This was my first time at a spa, and I'll defintely be going back! I chose La Therapie because of their beautiful website, and was blown away when I walked in the door. The decor is absolutely exquisite...I felt immeditately relaxed. The front desk was so friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed and felt comfortable. Even the music was perfect! After changing into the most comfortable robe ever, I sat in their inhalation room. What a treat! It warmed me up and the eucalyptus vapors soothed me all over. All of the treatment rooms are upstairs, and that's where I had my first ever facial and massage. The therapists explained exactly what they were going to do, and were so friendly! I left my massage with Aaron feeling like I was floating on air, and then went to my facial. Emily was so helpful! I have "problem skin" and she sorted out all my of worries and cleared up my face. All in all, I cannot wait to go back. And I got a gift certificate for Christmas, so I'll be returning soon! And, now I know the perfect birthday gift for all of my friends :) Pros: Ambience, the wonderful staff, reasonably priced Cons: nothing! more

BACK TO THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATION!!!! 9/3/2007

How exciting to have an appointment back at the renovated spa! I love it. I thought that the original Darrington Drive spa was gorgeous and relaxing, but somehow they have managed to surpass that. The newly renovated spa is beautiful in every way. It has a warm home-like feel that just makes you happy you have gone through the doors. The technicians are still wonderful, at least for my massage and facial they were! Everyone should go to see the new decor and experience the fantastic treatments and exceptional customer service! I have been twice to see Aaron at La Therapie: once for a relaxation massage and once for a therapeutic massage. Both were absolutely amazing! I felt completely comfortable with him, he sat me down ahead of time and told me exactly what his plan was. I have had many a massage and he is by far the best I've ever had! more
