Mexico simple and good 3/30/2008

Great little cafe with Mexican folk art-style design and charm. Lots of windows - sunny. Good sized, inexpensive and was packed at dinner. Faux margaritas for $3.75! I liked that you buy the food at the counter from a very large menu (nice emphasis on steaks) and it's delivered to your table. Without the formal waiter service you can sit and sit and noone gives you the evil eye. (But don't forget to leave a tip - they do serve and clean). I can't wait to go back and try more of their good food! more

I'd rather eat an air salad for free 8/2/2007

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews written here and I was expecting the best Mexican food ever... but it never came. The burrito I ordered had no taste, the chicken taco had no freshness and the chicken taquitos tasted like they were from a can. Cons: everything about it more

Amazing 12/23/2006

I love this place. They have great burritos, but my favorite is the cheese enchiladas. They have good tasting rice and beans and their salad is great. They also have a little salsa bar to get salsa for the yummy chips. This is my all time favorite mexican restaurant hands down. It is the best tasting for the best price. If you are thinking about dining here, do! The pricing is good. It tends to get busy, partially because it's so good!, but either call ahead and order (which I would reccomend) or just wait in line, your tastebuds won't regret it. Pros: Great food, I love it! Cons: Should be in a better location more

I really miss this place and I wish they would open up more locations in LA and the OC. I have tried several Mexican restaurants and nothing compares! Great service, reasonable prices, tasty food and fresh salsas. Pros: excellent food, excellent prices, great cheap eat more

Always a favorite! 12/22/2006

This restaurant has never failed to satisfy my craving for good food and always leaves me wanting to come back for more! I used to work in Sherman Oaks and the CPA firm I work for moved to Burbank 4 years ago. Honestly, we have yet to find a restaurant that even comes close to La Fogata. Whenever the girls here in the office & I get that craving, we hop on the freeway and drive out there... traffic and all. NOTHING BEATS THE TAQUITOS AND FRESH SALSA N CHIPS!!!!! They are some of the best I've ever had. The staff is always friendly and the service is always fast. Pros: Excellent food for reasonable prices Cons: Crowded during lunch time...patience is a virtue! more

A regular jaunt at worktime when there's a craving for great and yummy mexican food! Great taquitos, B&C burritos and good guacamole (they actually use REAL avocado chunks!). Pretty busy during the lunch hour so it's best to call ahead for orders. Pros: The Food Cons: Crowded @ lunch more

Great Food,low price 6/29/2005

I really enjoy going to eat to La Fogata this food is delicious and cheap, I love getting their macho nachos they more of an appetizer but are great, I also love getting their carne asada plate, the rice and beans are authentic really good place to eat. Best time to go is from 3-4pm if you want to find a good seat. Sundays are always busy so plan ahead. Pros: Great Food, Low Price, You'll be satisfied Cons: Parking, Few seats more

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - Fantastico 5/16/2002

Have been going regularly for years - best bean and cheese burrito in town (ok, it's really like a big fat quesadilla with beans, there's so much cheese). Recommend placing a phone order before going in, as it's always busy -- especially on Sunday. more
