Editorial review from Citysearch 10/18/2013

I visited this place about 12pm a few weeks ago on a Friday. They are supposed to close at 2am, but were open until 4:30am. They would cover the lights to hide that they were open. They were serving alcohol until 4:30am when I left. I asked naïve about why cover lights not knowing that you cannot serve alcohol after 2am in Los Angeles. There was some manager guy (Korean) named JUNE who threatened me with bodily harm if I said anything. Seem like mob place to me. \r Girls were offering sex for money. Lots of them. I think they have some connection to a brothel or something. Food and drink not that good, EXPENSIVE and they were very unfriendly. I'm from out of town and will never go back to that place. I would warn everyone stay away. Oh, I also saw bugs in the bathroom. I think someone else mentioned that bathrooms were dirty. I have many Korean friends and they all told me stay away from that place. My prediction, the police will get them or the building owner will kick them out. Chase Bank across the way from them.\r more

Wilshire Colonade Treat 4/30/2008

I discovered La Defence while searching for lunch spots on Citysearch. My co-worker and I walked down the street to give it a try- what a surprise and treat! Upon entering, I was amazed at the decor. The restaurant has outstanding ambiance and we felt like we were dining in a quaint Frech village. We had the lunch sampler of various sushi and the meal and service were excellent. Also, we took a business card as the restaurant has set a nice banquet/meeting room for offsite meetings. more

Convenient to the Wiltern 4/28/2008

Went here recently before catching a show at the Wiltern - as there is not much in the way of places to eat close by I was happy to go here. The staff was super friendly and the sushi good - we tried a few different dishes and were happy with all. I work close by so think I will try and pop in for the happy hour soon. more

Great customer service 4/12/2008

The Euro Asian inspired menu is the creation of former Koi Executive Chef, Yuji Iwasa. I visted La Defence on a Saturday night. I was greeted by very friendly hosts who seated me promptly at the bar. The bartender was friendly as well. The wine was good and so was the sushi. The atomosphere is very cute and clean. The private Karaoke rooms are cute too. I also learned that they have Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 5-7, with $5 well drinks and $3 sushi. The place has only been open three months, but once word gets out expect a crowd. I'm sure to become a regular. more
