I have been to many doctors and this one got my astigmatism contact lenses best I have ever had. Dr Kurtin was not rushed , polite, very informative, and has a neat sense of humor...

Great eye dr, friendly guy 3/10/2012

My son has been going to Dr. Kurtin for a couple of years. We wanted to try night contacts and got a recommendation from a friend. Dr. Kurtin is friendly and takes the time to answer questions. He's also been sensitive to our need to make the contacts last as long as possible before buying new ones. The only downside is he has limited hours after school, so either have to plan way ahead or take my son out of school. Other than that, he's been great. more

No doubt the service is grand but, the selection of frames is extremely poor in addition to low volume and the same old inventory. And.....the cost of frames and lenses are well above market. more

Highly recommend 8/2/2011

This is the kind of place you wish you would have gone first. I was told to go her from my internal medicine doctor for an eye exam. I have not been for a couple of years. Great staff, friendly and kind, no rush and Dr Kurtin was awesome. He did this 3 D vision thing and muscle test and told me it was probably causing my headaches. After 3 weeks of wearing my new glasses, my headaches are gone. I recommend this place highly, and also think you should get the extra services so you don't have to be dilated." more

I also got fitted with some real cool bifocal contact lenses- I've never been told about anywhere else. I like Kurtin and his staff, and will be recommending my family and friends. more

Vision after surgery 4/15/2011

Drove in from Houston area needing vision specialist after my cornea was messed up with surgery. Great to come to doctor who gets in, knows what he's doing, gives options and gets me seeing again, within about a week. Dr Kurtin is the seventh doctor I've been to, and hope he is my last. Highly recommend the drive to anyone with complication from cornea surgery. more

i can 'see' why... 3/30/2011

i read all the reviews i could find about all optometrists in dallas when i moved here. connecting with one that gets strait to fixing my vision right from the start is remarkable, after lousy experience with lasik giving me severe astigmatism. i can really see why most everyone gives dr kurtin 5 stars. i appreciate his experience and kind way of handling my issues, totally understands. by the way i did not get or want any gift card for this. more

High service 3/28/2011

I was very pleased with this clinic and quality of service. The staff is also very helpful. I tried a different contacts before and non of it worked good for me. Dr. Kurtin was able to find a good solution (SynergEyes lenses). He also explains information to patients. Thanks a lot! I highly recommend this doctor. more

Excellent Eye Care in Plano!!!! 3/22/2011

I was amazed at how FRIENDLY the whole staff is at The Kurtin Eye Care Center in Plano, Texas. No one was rude or seemed to be in a bad mood which can rub off on patrons. They are very on top of things in terms of eye care too! I have glocoma in my family and they are on top of my consistant eye care for keeping an eye on things. Also, both the optomotrists are very nice are on on top of their game with communication and professionalism. more

More than I could have asked for 1/4/2011

I brought my 12 year old, glass-half-empty, son in to see Dr. Kurtin. The staff members that worked with my son were fabulous. He came in with a bad attitude and they handled him great. They didn't push him and react negatively to him. They kept things upbeat and worked well with him. more

The best eye doctor in Town! 11/18/2010

I had previously wore eye glasses/contacts for 26 years, and 8 months ago I was at Dr. Kurtin's for my annual eye exam, and I was really unhappy with my vision (as I was so bad, I couldn't even see my alarm clock without my glasses on). he recommended I go for a LASIK consultation. After 6 months I went back today and without glasses/contacts I can see 20/20. It is true independence. He is an eye doctor that you can trust and a person with true integrity, he wants the best for you as an individual and expects you to be able to enjoy your eyesite with our without glasses so you can enjoy this beautiful place on Earth. more

Dr. Kurtin is consistently the best at what he does. And, he doesn't hesitate to refer you to a specialist when necessary. Today Miriam helped me get a pair of the frames I had, that just broke. I couldn't ask for better service. more

An expert in keratoconus 10/12/2010

I tried out Dr. Kurtin based on some of the reviews I read online that have to deal with keratoconus. I had tried other cornea "specialists", but they were frustrating because they didn't really know what they were doing. So I was a little skeptical going into this office. more

At Last, I found the best eye doctor in town! 9/3/2010

After moving from a different state, I found it very difficult to find a great doctor who can provide excellent care to my eyes. Dr. Kurtin is the one of the best eye doctor I have seen after my move here in Texas. He made sure to do detailed well vision exam for my eyes and also explained me everything thoroughly . I am so thankful that I am seeing him now. Highly Recommended! more

I'd go back here again 8/21/2010

Hard to believe I would actually read these reviews. But I wear ortho-k lenses and just cannot find doctor who knows about it. I searched all of Texas, and a few came up, but only Dr. Kurtin had so many great reviews. He was definintely on top of things, knew exactly what to do, no time wasted, the contact lenses were mailed to me after I came for the fitting. Super nice guy, easy location from the highways.. I just may fly into to him instead of driving next time. Thanks for taking care of me!! more

Will travel back 7/30/2010

Since moving, I can only say how much we miss Dr Kurtin and all the gizmos he used to help my eyesight. His honestly told me I was not a good candidate for lasik. But gave me options which I took for overnight contacts that correct my vision. I hate wearing glasses and he made it all better. I live in outside Texas now, but will be riding down to see him anyway to check my eyes. Pros: great coffee, modern office, staff good Cons: none more
