Best

I love it! They have the best custard ever! The burgers are very tasty too!

Worst

Mr

The burgers are so overated. I think that people just say that they are the best becaus other's say it. Taste one, they are basic, flat and dry. Their sister company, Elsa's does ...

da best 1/2/2003

I live in Colgate, WI and to drive to Kopp's on 76th Street can sometimes be a hike, but it is definitely worth the drive. They have the best, most juciest hamburgers EVER. I just wish they would add bacon to the menu! more

too much trouble 12/17/2002

Too much trouble finding parking (lot always full no drive through)Too much trouble getting out of lot located on corner of 76th and layton. And to much trouble figuring out what your eating when you buy all those catchy name brands ice creams like green ocean Pros: good hambugers, big menu Cons: awful parking, expensive, crowded more

It's the bomb! 12/13/2002

Kopp's has some the best food! Since moving away from Milwaukee six years ago, I have yet to have found any place like it. I make sure that I stop in at least to get custard each time I come home to visit. The only drawback is that you have to wait a little while to get your food, but it is worth the wait! Pros: Delicious custard, Good food, reasonable prices Cons: crowded, limited parking, wait time more

Kopps might catch you 12/13/2002

Great food, Decent price, what more can you ask for? well good seating, but other than that its a great place to eat more

AWESOME!!! 12/13/2002

I have eaten a lot of burgers in a lot of states, and there is no real competition out there. Kopp's is the ""TRUE AMERICAN BURGER!!!! more

Good Bang for your Buck 12/13/2002

The burgers are good size...also of course it is worth to go to try the daily ice cream flavors. more

burger ecstacy 12/13/2002

large grilled burgers made fresh while you wait. what more do you want? worth the time it takes to grill. more

Ice Cream! Not! 12/6/2002

Isn't it ironic that Kopp's, like 8 out of 10 of the places listed in this survey, specializes in frozen custard not ICE CREAM! Sure Kopp's is a great place for juicy burgers and frozen custard, but people please, they don't serve ICE CREAM!! And trust me, most of you gullible people who responded to this bogus survey, there is a difference because real ice cream does not contain eggs like custard does. Pros: Good CUSTARD, Great burgers, Great service Cons: Skimpy Menue, No ICE CREAM, High prices more

Absolutely brilliant! 12/6/2002

It's been a month or three, I admit, since I was last at Kopp's.. but nevertheless, the overall environment and the food stick in my mind.. the food most of all. Unlike the more common chains, they NEVER pre-create ANY of their food. No burgers sitting pre-wrapped under a heat lamp. Everything they sell is fresh. Is it ever good, too. Granted there's a little bit of a wait, and the place is often crowded, but those can be indicators of good things, too. A must-try if you're in the market for a genuinely good hamburger. Pros: Fresh food, Value, Variety Cons: Crowded, Scarce seating more

DRY HAMBURGERS 12/5/2002

I can never understand why Kopp's is rated so high on their hamburgers. The meat is always dry. You have slather on a lot of condiments to make it edible. A good hamburger should be one that you don't have to load up with other things. Cons: Dry Meat more

It's Ok,But... 12/5/2002

Kopps and the others you list are OK, but if you really want the absolute best, hop on Highway 36 and head south and west for about 40 to 45 minutes. There you will enter the city of Burlington, home of the worlds best frozen custard. Just pull into Adrian's across the street from Echo Park and order your self a cone or dish of heaven on earth. Trust me all the others pale by comparison. more

nummy kopps 11/11/2002

i LOooooooooooooove kopps! its the nummiest ice cream ever! i really like their carmel cashew and and grasshopper stuff, and awhile ago they had some kinda crunchy caramel thing w/ chocolate or somethin like that, but it was really good. *julia* Pros: cool deco, nice outdoor seating, great service! Cons: almost always cold, few indoor seating more

burgers 11/11/2002

Great cheese burgers and the best custard flavors in Milwaukee! more

#1 11/10/2002

My best friend came to Milwaukee on a visit recently. We played telephone tag for 2 days trying to catch up with each other. Where do I finally meet up with him? KOPPS!!! I walked in to get a burger, and there he was!! more

Please start a franchise in Tampa!! 10/25/2002

There are few things I miss about Milwaukee in the 2 years I have been gone... my family, my friends, and Kopps Pros: A Milwaukee Landmark more

Kopp's is topps 10/25/2002

The best is in the country hands down. Burgers, Custard; they have it all!!! more

Kopps Flops 10/25/2002

Coming from California and experience In & Out Burger, I was overwhelmed with praise for this Kopps place. Upon trying out the joint, I was upset by the fact that I had to pay for Lettuce, Mayo, Tomatoes, and any other condiment I wanted. Plus the Burger was the worst tasting burger I have ever tasted. Fuddruckers here far surpasses any burger from Kopps. I would never recommend Kopps for Burgers. The only good thing Kopps has is custard. Terrible burgers. Pros: Custard is tasty Cons: Burgers are terrible, Ambience-terrible, Seating-non-existent more

major over-rated!! 10/25/2002

they may have the best custard in town, but the burgers are big, tasteless, unimaginative hockey pucks. anyone wanting to drive a little bit, go to cedarburg, to a little tavern on the main drain (washington) called R.J. Thirsty's, and order a cheese, or double cheese burger. like so many taverns in wisconsin (and there are many taverns in wisconsin!), the food is wonderful - you may also want to try the sour cream chive fries. Pros: fabulous custard Cons: awful burgers more

I cna't believe it! 10/23/2002

Kopp's can not hold a candle to The Chancery, how it got to the top of the list is beyond me. I have eaten at most of these places and would rate them at an 8 just abover Culvers. Pros: clean, inexpensive Cons: Burgers dry, over cooked, lack of seating more

The best in the Mid-West 10/17/2002

I think that Kopps has the best food this side of the Mississippi. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, and when ever I come up by Chicago or Milwaukee I make it a point to come to Kopps. The food is great, the place is bright and clean. The service is quik. The only thing is that it can be a little expense, but, it is worth every penny. more
