I've stayed at many hotels in Vegas. The thing about this one is that the rooms aren't that great and it's hard to get to them - you've got to walk through a very crowded entry an...

Excellent food, beautiful setting 8/31/2009

Very romantic in a beautiful setting, especially after dark! My wife and I dined here on 8/20/09 and absolutely loved it. Ask if a table near the jungle is available as you're next to the trees, the waterfall and the stream. Actually, no table is far from the jungle, but somehow sitting at the wall seemed special to me and my wife. As for the food, you have to try the lobster bisque, you WILL NOT regret it, but be ready to eat as it's covered will a flaky puff pastry that looks as good as it tastes. The lamb chops were the largest I've ever seen (looked like turkey drumsticks) cooked perfectly, medium rare, tender and juicy. The sea bass was also tremendous. Wasabi mashed potatoes were ordered with the lamb and a baked potato nicely filled out the sea bass. No room for dessert, unfortunately, but only because the portions, at least the portions of the food we ordered, we plenty large and quite filling. The service was a bit crowded and at times we weren't sure who our server was. I'm not one to complain about too much service, but I actually think less would have been more. Maybe it's because it wasn't packed when we dined there, but it just seemed like there was too much service. Nice problem to have as it isn't normally the case at many places, but really a bit too much. I think some of the prices could be lower, but still they aren't anything extraordinarily high, especially by Las Vegas standards. All of that being said, I would definitely recommend Kokomo's based on our visit. Well worth the trip and the price. Pros: Pros: The atmosphere, the Lobster Bisque Cons: Cons: Service a bit ""crowded"" more

Fantastic hotel ... WORST BUFFET ! 6/11/2009

We were there on Super Bowl Sunday (2009) and this was the first restaurant we visited on our trip. We were expecting a wonderful buffet (it was listed as one of the ""best in Vegas"" in our travel books). We were extremely disappointed! The food was lukewarm to cold, 85% of it was ""dryed up"", and a lot of the selections were not even available (needed to be filled up). Also, we were surprised at the lack of ""taste"" with this buffet. Both of us actually considered this buffet the worst eating experience we had during our Vegas trip. We are going back to Vegas in September, but we have already decided this restaurant doesn't even deserve a ""second chance"". On the other hand, we ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE MIRAGE HOTEL!!! We will be staying there again on our upcoming trip ... but unfortunately we will stay very, very far away from Cravings. Better food experiences in the Mirage can be found at either the ""Carnegie Deli"" (truly very yummy) or the ""California Grill"". Pros: Good location Cons: Cold and dryed-up selections ... poor atmosphere. more

Elegant reprieve from crazy casino world 5/4/2009

I thought our service at Fin was impecable! The food was well presented and delicious. The wait staff really showed an interest in my party, which is hard to find sometimes in Vegas. My father accidently spilled someting on his shirt, and they quickly ran to the kitchen to bring us some soda water. Very much appreciated. \r \r The comp desert was also delightful, a light fortune cookie with a kahulua and cream drink in small glass. Lovely way to end a perfect dinner.\r \r Will definitely go back on future visits to the Strip! Pros: Lovely service and presentation more

A Low Class Bikini Bar 4/21/2009

This is the worst night club I have ever been to. Within the first 5 minutes, I witnessed a bar fight. A drunk guy attacked someone's wife. Bunch of under age drunk kids on VIP tables were rude enough to attack every woman and the gorillas were there to protect them. I promised the manager to write this review for his club, but he couldn't care less. Cons: Terrible Management, Low Class Customers more

Still Amazing After Almost 20 Years 3/5/2009

Mirage is still an attention getter. The property is very attractive and the guest rooms are continually upgraded. The only small negative is that the guest bathrooms are small.Mirage is easy to navigate and has a beautiful pool area. Onda and Fin are both excellent restaurants.Guest service is very good throughout the hotel. Try a poolside cabana for a treat more

Not worth... a $5 cover charge let alone $20! 2/8/2009

We had friends in town and some how ended up at Revolution. At first glance... sweet bar and interesting set up. Once you get past the PRICEY PRICEY cover charge (local or out-of-towner) the ""ultra"" lounge was not worth the money in addition to the tab of ridiculously priced drinks. Hopefully it was just a slow Saturday night (no such thing in Vegas) but the DJ pretty much sucked it up. If it only takes an apple laptop to be considered a DJ - Sign ME UP! No skills needed. I think the only way to have a good time there is to be on the cusp of blacking out or know someone who can get you in for free after midnight. There are better ultra lounges here in Vegas! Pros: The atmosphere Cons: everything else... drinks, high prices, bad music more

Would rather eat shoe leather 10/31/2008

Ewww, this was a BIG disappointment starting with the horrible attitudes from the greeters and went down to the dried out food. We love our Vegas buffets, but we couldn't stomach this one. Pros: Can more

The Best Night Ever!!!! 9/17/2008

I chose to come to Revolution after waiting for hours in the line outside of Jet. I was quckly attracted to their reasonable botte prices and their large interactive table that kept my entire group occupied for the duration of the night. After meeting one of the VIP Hosts outside, he explained the bottle service to me and I opted to go along with it. I purchased 3 topshelf bottles and was amazed by how inexpensive the bill was at the end. I will say that the conisitent customer service of all the employees was impressive, but I'd most like to point out how well Dan Kramer, our VIP Host, treated us. He made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. I figured the least I could do was give him some credit and recommend that anyone who wants a GREAT night out in Vegas uses him. Here is all of his contact info (straight off his business card):\r Dan Kramer\r Lead VIP Host\r 702-378-8361\r I'm confident he will take care of you just as well as he took care of me. more
