Guillain-Barre Syndrome Related Injury 3/24/2022

Luanne was transferred from another facility to Kindred Hospital in Sugarland. She had been in the other facility for approximately 5 weeks. She had suffered progressive paralysis from Guillain-Barre Syndrome and was on a ventilator. Unfortunately, due to neglect she had developed a stage 4 decubitus ulcer. The other facility had done little to medicate or address the injury. It was over a week before the facility brought in a wound doctor to treat the injury. Kindred hospital immediately went to work to stop the progression of the ulcer. Weaned her off the ventilator and started rehabilitation while still in the ICU. Now two weeks later Luanne is being transferred to the Kindred Rehabilitation ward. The nursing staff is experienced, professional and committed to their patients. more

I will not forget you! 2/9/2022

I stayed at kindred hospital sugar land for over a month. I came to recover from a surgical procedure. I honestly can say I had the nicest experience here, the staff were accommodating and helpful, everyone was so nice and respectful always willing to help and get me what I needed. Wish I could remember all the names, but I want to recognize some of that went above and beyond. Carol in respiratory, Alice, Judy and Rose the nurse assistant. My favorite nurses are Blessing and Ezia. Marie from patient relations visited daily. Let’s not forget the rehab team. Earnesto, Sammy, and Lakshmi were very supportive and positive to get me going. These therapist were just amazing. I love you all and thank you for your support during a difficult time for me. I will not forget you! more

Mrs Marie was very helpful to improve my health and to go on with my life, great heart and very compassionate. The employees here are great , Alice is loving and caring and made me feel better. She is so giving and encouraging. The dietary department made me a better person and strong. Thank you kindred for everything! more

I am thankful 12/16/2021

I came to kindred hospital very sick, I moved from the regular room on the first floor to the rehab section upstairs. In a few weeks I started to get better, the rehab team is great. Each member helped me get better to meet my goal and go home to my family. The room in the rehab are big, very clean and comfortable. My family brought me homemade food but I got daily yogurt and fruits from here which was fresh. Ms. Marie from the patient relations checked on me everyday and asked me how I was feeling, I loved her daily visits. The nurses and the assistants were so helpful and sweet to me, they made a big difference in how i felt. I am thankful for each and every one, because I get to go home on my granddaughter birthday! more

All the staffs are very professional. I am very satisfied with this hospital. I don’t want to forget one person name, her name is Kelly Womac. All the time she has taken care of me in HBO. She went to dialysis to check up on me. A big thank you! Additionally the nurse AJ, you are excellent and Leo you are very good too. Katherine you are such a great leader. The food provided from your department, is very tasty and received on time. Overall a great place for treatment. more

All about ARU 6/14/2021

Thanks to Kindred ARU because they treat me really well. I mean really, really well. Oh man all the therapist are wonderful. Some of the name I need to mention, Erika Gaston how nice you are. In one word excellent 4/28/2021

The staff are very caring. I like the way that the kindred employees have cared for me from beginning to end. My 2nd floor rehab room is very comfortable. I enjoyed the very tasty food. Special thanks to Natalie and Gladys for going above and beyond. Finally, I want to say the whole rehab team are very professional. In one word excellent. more

Great physical therapy 4/6/2021

There are lot of good people working here. I get excellent services from all department. My daughter is a doctor and she is extremely happy to see the amount of doctor every day come and see me. The best part of this hospital are physical therapy department. They are excellent. Additionally the wound care team are great specially Aileen is very knowledgeable and caring. Very very very 3/29/2021

We are very very very pleased with kindred sugar land. I said couple of times very because I mean it. Each and every staff are extremely good. I am the son of Lilavanti Thakkar and my name is Mukesh. Not only me all my family members are happy. You guys treat my mom not like a patient but like a family member.All the staff are very knowledgeable, very co- operative, very accommodating and very organized. Doctors are wonderful. Finally Shailesh thanks for visit my mom everyday and taking care. Overall 200% satisfaction. God bless you all. more

The response time is good 3/23/2021

Overall very good experience with this hospital. The response time of the nurses are acceptable and the teams or nurses are specialized with their activity. The food is tasty. One thing I like most that if something wrong happen with my tele monitor everyone come and check, even I sleep that time. Another thing the nurses are provide the medicine on time. I want thank to all the nursing supervisor who always check on me and take care me. Finally Rakhy you are such an amazing leader always visit and take care me. more

Wow great wound care 3/16/2021

Thank you so much wound care team. Specially Aileen you and team are great. Monica Lawrence and all the HBO team took care me very well. Most of the nurses are good and doctors are excellent. I appreciate the rehab people the way they treat me. Not every place is perfect but the amount of services I got from kindred that’s enough for me. God bless all of you. more

I stayed at kindred rehab for about 2 weeks and it was good experience. The food is good, they ask you every day what you want. Dr. Mike was so caring, a really nice doctor. Thank you very much for the supervisor sumure, nurse Tiffany but the best of all was nurse K.K. She even visited me when she was not my nurse. more

LTAC to ARU 1/28/2021

I was in Kindred LTAC before. It was a nice journey with kindred LTAC and they transferred me to ARU for better treatment. I was giving them good review before.Now I want to say something good about ARU. It’s whole new world for me. Very big and nice clean room. Each and everyone nice here. Specially Megan thank you. They help me to communicate with my family all the time. I spoke with my family everyday, lots of nice people surrounding me I do not feel lonely. God bless all of you.
