I like the IDEA of this place, but I don't actually like the place. Other reviewers are right: the staff doesn't have a lot of experience, and the haircuts are not really very nic...

It's ok for now 11/29/2011

I like the IDEA of this place, but I don't actually like the place. Other reviewers are right: the staff doesn't have a lot of experience, and the haircuts are not really very nice. On the other hand, they are set up for little kids, so they are able to keep the kids still for the cut much better than any other place I have seen in the area. So I will go there until I am confident my little ones will sit still for more than 5 minutes - at which time I will go elsewhere. I would recommend a little bit more training for the staff. I would also recommend some changes to their decor. It feels a little sketchy and ghetto. more

Will defenatly be back! 7/9/2011

After being told at the Salon in Walmart Vestal that they would NOT do my son's hair because he would get upset and upset the other customers. I stopped at Kidoozies, I explained that my son just slightly Autistic and they didn't hesitate to take him in without an appointment.\r \r My son loved the car he sat in but once they wet his hair got upset. But the difference is he didn't get as upset as he had in the previous places we had gone.. I think the child friendly decor and the patience and kindness of the staff made me and him feel more at ease.\r \r I can't thank the girls enough for being so understanding and patient with me and my son. more

Pleased with our visit 10/16/2010

Took our 15 month old daughter to Kidoozies this week for her first haircut. She enjoyed sitting in the plane and watching the video during the cut. Her stylist was Jessica and she did a good job of listening to what we wanted and then executing it. She interacted really well with both of us and our daughter and gave her a lollipop when she was done. We brought our own camera and took some great pictures...Jessica took a couple of the three of us together as well. We got the first haircut certificate and used a picture off our camera's flash card for it. We were all quite pleased and will return. more

Nice Experience 12/18/2009

We took my 2 year old daughter to Kidoozies for her first haircut. She was thrilled to sit in the airplane chair, and was even more excited when the woman cutting her hair gave her a little dvd player to watch Elmo on. This held her attention and she sat very still for the entire haircut. We were very pleased with our daughter's haircut and the special ""1st haircut"" package. As a previous review mentions, the picture for the certificate was taken with a cell phone. However, the picture came out very well and was not at all pixelated. The Kidoozie experience made my daughter feel very special and grown up. Pros: child-friendly ""chairs"", personal dvd player more

use caution 10/11/2009

The theory behind the place is nice. It is too bad that they don't employ people with more experience. The girl cutting my son's hair cut his sideburns completely off! I also payed a bit extra to get a certificate with his picture for his 1st haircut and they took the picture with a cell phone. My son really enjoyed sitting in the car to get his hair cut but it is not worth it to have a haircut that you can't wait to grow out, especially when you are missing sideburns! Pros: cars to sit in Cons: not enough experience cutting kids hair more
