Lousy Repairmen. We have a Maytag Bravos X washing machine that will not work half the time. It is still under the original warranty and Ken's Appliance came out to fix the machine. Instead of fixing the problem, the repairman ordered a control board which he swapped out. The machine still has the original problem of the lid not staying locked, causing the machine to stop. Also, since the board swap, the machine continues to go back to the wash cycle during the final rinse cycle, causing a 45 minute wash cycle to take as much as 3 hours.\r \r I would NOT recommend Ken's Appliance for anything, not even for sharpening pencils. more

good service 5/8/2012

I had Ken's Appliance come out to work on my dishwasher that was leaving a gross film on all my dishes. I called them and was able to get a service man out the next day who cleaned out the pump and told me about some products I could use to get rid of the film (dishwasher magic and lemi-shine work great by the way!) The service tech showed up during the time frame I was given and was very professional and friendly. I'll definitely call them back if I ever have a problem on another one of my appliances more

my service expierence 9/14/2011

today i had a service call on my uline ice machine. i have unfortunatley had many service calls because the machine is not making ice. i use a co. that is well known in the area, and whom i have established a great expierence with the tech personally. and so i had a call on my dishwasher which david has been out to my house. my maintenence man then asked david his opinion about the issue and david said"" oh ya, i know what the problem is, he just needs to clean the glass control panel and change the board. ive seen it happen all the time"" .. so.. we did what he said .. and it did not change a thing...!!!!! it cost me 200.00 dollars !!!!!! david needs more expierence in the appliance world rather than giving his ""expertise"" to something he has not fully researched !!!! thanks kens ! i'll be spreading the word more

Ken's Appliance Sve 6/14/2011

An appointment was scheduled for Tuesday 11 am to 1 pm. At 1:05 I called the office to see where the service technician was. I was told that she would have him call me immediately. 1:30 came and no call and no service. I called Ken's for a 2nd time to find out what's going on. I was told this time that the service technician is having a ""family emergency"" and was in the process of calling all his clients for the day. I asked how many clients he has in one day? 8 or 9. \r Maybe he does have a family emergency, or maybe he's overbooked, or maybe he went fishin'. Anyway, since I stayed home from work to have this service done, I'm calling someone else to service my KitchenAid. more

COD - huh? 6/10/2010

My garage was affected by the 2010 flood..my washer was part of that...after the water receded, we hooked it up and it worked....and then stopped working on June 5th. On June 7th, I called Maytag - telling them it was part of the flood, but it was working fine afterward until the 5th. They said as long as I could provide my proof of purchase (which I could) they would send out a service to get it fixed.\r \r Ken's Appliance service window to fix the washer was 9 - 5pm, and then called on June 9th to state it would be 9am to 11am. Upon arriving, and reviewing the proof - the servicer called back into the company and stated this was part of the flood. Maytag stated - it was not covered by the warranty.\r \r The servicer (via my landlord) calls me up to ask for his COD...huh??? For what I ask?? 1. Maytag stated it was covered. 2. I told Maytag it was part of the flood, but was working fine. 3. If Maytag was the company that sent Ken's appliance out -- Maytag should fork out the COD....there were plenty of opportunities for them to figure out they were not going to cover it. 4. Ken's Appliance is a Nashville company -- it should have dawned on them quickly that the location was part of the flood (it was all over tv).....this company seems to want something for nothing.....I would never use them. Pros: called within 48 hours of call to maytag Cons: Servicer asks for COD when Maytag said it was covered. more

I have had the opportunity to utilize Ken's Applicance on several different occasions. I have been extremely pleased with the entire experience. I received superb customer service from my first call to the office to the technician that was sent to my home. I was equally impressed with their fair pricing and response time! Poor Service that you do not deserve 1/15/2008

I do not recommend this company. I moved into a new house that included a brand new stainless steel refrigerator. At the walk-in it was discovered the door had a ding in it. The builder said to call a Whirlpool Dealer and they would order a new door and replace it. I called Ken's Appliance Service. They ordered the wrong door. So they ordered another door. and my husband met them at the house so they could install it. \r \r They showed up with the door in a box and installed it. We discovered shortly after they left after installing it that the new door had 2 dents in it that were worse than the door they replaced. I called them to tell them that the door they just installed was damaged as well. The girl who answered the phone said they could not do anything about it. They said that we should have noticed it when the technician was there but now that he is gone they will not do anything about it now. \r \r She then went on to tell me that the technician told my husband to inspect the door and sign off that it was perfect and that my husband did inspect it and found nothing wrong with it. THAT IS A COMPLETE LIE!! They did not ask my husband to do NO SUCH THING! \r \r He made the mistake of assuming that the technician knew what he was doing and never dreamed of ""inspecting it."" What idiot would install a refrigerator door that was damaged!! That is their job! How hard would it be for the technician to check the door they were fixing to put in and make sure it was not damaged? When I told her this, she actually hung up on me! Luckily, I called Whirlpool directly and explaiined to them how I was treated by Ken's Appliances. They said it would not be a problem to replace the door again and I will be calling another Whirlpool dealer to order and install it. So consumers, beware of this company. They are a very unprofessional two-bit company and you will not receive the service that you deserve. Cons: Very unprofessional more
