Horrific and Incompetent Management 4/22/2019

KS Clinic needs a complete refresh. Supervisors and middle managers are no more than yes robots with no regard of consequences to their staff. When they do decide to show up they spend their entire day on cell phones and conducting or discussing personal business. KS Clinic should evaluate why they pay these morons 6 figure incomes and better invest its money for improving productivity. CEO only gives a s$$t about his MDs and doesn't understand support staff concept. Changing the way health cares is a disaster slogan with no workforce diversity in advertising. You and patients are treated as expendable numbers. more

Good Doctors with confusing Billing 4/9/2019

Generally the doctors at Kelsey are excellent. But if they send you for further test or the use of any other Kelsey facilities, run away. They ghost billing never stops and the double talk and explanations with surely give you hypertension. It has gotten much worse over the years, no matter how much you ask, it is never enough, more

Do not trust Kelsey to keep your record confidential 8/1/2017

Wish I had seen many of the negative reviews before signing up with Kelsey care. Patient care is not even close to being a priority. The MyKelsey online is not secure and anyone in the Kelsey clinics can look at your file including messages to your doctor that you think are private, co confidential and safe. Not only can your file be seen but it can be used against you. more

WORST customer service and high billing 7/7/2017

K/S Tanglewood clinic just care for money and they dont have any ethics. I am seeing K/s since from last 3 years and recently I took my daughter for preventive check-up, i asked specifically whether this is covered or not and staff told me it is and you don't need to pay anything. I informed that my new insurance coverage will start in next 12 days. After 3 weeks i received bill of 1300 , i took this to their Billing supervisor & also to the administrator but they never bothered to reply me back but rather I got call from their finance reviewer and she agreed that it is mis-communcation and they should have never told me that it is free of charge. I asked them than why i am the only one who is put at fault and offered to pay the part of it but than this advisor told me that you have signed on papers and you need to pay the full amount. This is how they deal with customers, they are just after your money. In past months several doctors left and also BlueShield moved out because K/S charge hefty amount for all the services, can you believe they charge around $450 for a visit. It it better to leave them now or don't even go there at all. more

Lack of caring 3/1/2016

People please do not come, the front desk staff do not care if you are an old patient or not very unfriendly. They laugh when you pay, but when you have a balance they are mean. I had an appointment for my son getting in the front desk they couldn't sign me in until I cleared the balance they claim to say I owe. I was very surprised for the reaction and beside I'm an old patient. Then some weeks later they send me a check with the same amount they told me I have to pay in the front desk the day of the appointment. I did not owe them but they made me to wait until I gave them the money. I will not return to this clinic for my coming baby. Very disappointed. more

Kelsey Seybold is horrible 1/28/2016

Kelsey seybold has the worse customer service. They charge your insurance for things over and over again. If you have any account balances they will deny you treatment until paid even if you are sick.I have been a patient with them for 31 years and have decided to take my business some where else after today.. more

Expect to keep getting new invoices forever 9/1/2015

After going to Kelsey Seybold for an annual exam that was paid for by my insurance company, I have continued to receive additional bills for new things (now it's almost a year later). Kelsey Seybold has added charges and my insurance company knows nothing about it. Don't go here. You'll never quit being charged, and no one ever records in your record that they have talked with you about anything previously. It's a nightmare! more

Administrative Fiasco 6/30/2015

I tried to obtain treatment in 2009 for an issue with my back. K/S had no options for me. I had a great experience with a physician outside of K/S. I signed up for KelseyCare as a Medicare Supplement in 2014. When my back flared up in 2015, K/S would not approve me seeing my back surgeon. I tried to cancel my K/S coverage in May. I phoned them and filed the docs K/S faxed to me. I obtained other coverage. My new coverage could not be used today because K/S could not / would not verify I had filed the correct docs. Therefore, I am paying for two insurance policies and cannot use either one of them. I am having to pay cash - grumpy in Kingwood. more

Collections 10/28/2014

I went to K/S for a tests to determine if there was anything wrong, in my breast. The ultra sound tech said they did not want her to tell me, but she did not see anything. However, the radiologist wanted to schedule me an appointment. Well, there wasn't ANYTHING but scar tissue. And $600 plus later here I am. I paid the place everything save $126. I lost my job and asked would they hold the account for a month. I called to resume payments but they had sent it to collections, LESS THAN A MONTH!!! These places should have some kind of checks and balances. I would not recommend this ripoff to anyone!!!! more

Socialized medicine 9/24/2014

My experience with Kelsey is the closest I've ever felt to getting government run healthcare and it is horrible. This place has charged me for cancelled appointments then has harassed me for payment of those missed appt when signing in. They are sarcastic and rude and have turned the ladies who check you in into bill collectors for missed appointments. I have a seizure disorder and can't always get to my appts as I rely on others. So I have to explain this in front of any stranger sitting there waiting to also be seen by a doctor. They are demoralizing and demeaning. The nurses make comments about my diagnosis and medications. The doctors could care less. They are paid employees of Kelsey. It's a job to them and clear shows in the way they treat patients. They do nothing for you. Ever. Why because when you are insured by the company that employees those doctors they have no interest in treatment. Less is more for them and they don't make money if actually trying to treat a patient. Any company that brags about their Medicare rating as 5 stars with the government should tell you they are all about getting that 5 star rating and not so much for the patient. You should stay away. Very far away as these people have no interest in you, your illness or treating you. I've never been treated by more condescending staff and doctors ever. My previous treatment with private insurance doctor's and M D Anderson for an abdominal tumor was exceptional however I'm told by Kelsey I can't follow up with MDA. God help me if I need cancer treatment again. I'd probably die trying to find out with Kelsey doctors. They don't care. They are salaried employees. Stay away from these people. They have take no interest in you or your illness. Hope the rest of our health system doesn't get to the Kelsey standard of care because then we are all in a lot of trouble. more

Dismissed 9/15/2014

I was recently dismissed from KS for missed appts. I have gone to them for about 35 yrs. S o i had quite a few missed apps. Some I cancelled, sme I did not. The bottom line is they say they lost moneys with three missed apps. This company has changed over the years. The administration is very cold. It is all about the money. If your insurance has ny paid they will turn you away. The calls I made for appeals were met with sarcasm side remarks from billing office supervisors. At a time in my life that I really need my Doctors my health has been placed in jeopardy by Kelsey Seybold denying service to me that I have had 35 yrs. more

Money aside, if you value your life, stay away from Kelsey 1/26/2014

Believe the 1 stars. This clinic qualifies for 0. Their doctors are accountable to the finance department only. Patients die needlessly. Doctors order expensive PET scans instead of CT scans (MD Anderson requested CT Scan) and possibly don't take the time to read their own radiologist report requesting additional testing to diagnose to life threatening - treatable condition. But they're too busy seeing one patient every 15 minutes because billing is good for the bottom line. Patients get minimal care but maximum billing. Stay away from here if you want to live. Cancer was gone according to the autopsy. Patient should have been in the hospital instead of driving from doctor to doctor who simply prescribed pain meds. more

Good and Bad...mostly bad 12/4/2013

I called them for an appointment as I had just moved to the area and needed to establish a primary care physician and some follow-up care for a car accident. I booked the appointment easily enough. I was told to show up 20-30 minutes early. When I arrived I was informed that I was much too early and that everything is done online now. The reception folks were very friendly and remarked they did not know why the scheduling service was telling people to show up early for the first appointment as it was not needed. Normally not a big deal but I had to come in to work at 6AM in order to be able to take time off from work. When I scheduled the appointment I told them I wanted a full physical. I asked them if I needed to fast before the appointment. They said if I did the nurse would let me know before I got there. They didn't, so I didn't and then was told that I couldn't have a physical when I got there because I hadn't fasted!!!! Grrr. So, the doctor came in and was friendly enough. I asked for a prescription and in the time I normally spend greeting my Metro bus driver I had it and was on my way out the door without having my old injury looked at, my medical records examined, or any other meaningful medical examination. He referred me to the in-house specialist and refused to take the copy of my medical records that I had been instructed to bring. Okay.... The specialist couldn't see me for two weeks. No big deal. Fairly typical wait. The day before my appointment, I get a call from the clinic and was asked what the extent of my problem was (rememer those medical records they wouldn't take?). I told her and was told that they couldn't see me and that I had to see a surgeon. Grrrrr. When I asked why they had bothered to make the appointment when the doctor knew she wouldn't see me....I received a litany of piss poor excuses along the line of its not their fault more or less. So, I've cancelled all of my appointments and will find a real doctor/practice. What a bunch of clowns. more

Terrible experience 6/28/2013

Absolutely disappointed in this clinic. I was excited to be pregnant and to go to Kelsey Seybold for the experience. Boy was I wrong. The DR refused to see me at my first prenatal visit if we didn't sign the contract for the full delivery and finances. We only asked to see the DR prior to that financial commitment. I was experiencing pain and was hurt the DR wouldn't see me unless I agreed to pay the entire amount of the full term. My husband and I found another DR who would see us right away and it turned out I was I'll and ended up in the hospital. Thank God for he other DR seeing us at Memorial Hermann. They never asked for the full financial agreement till after our visit with the DR, which she deserved it. Now I received a bill in the mail for $15 for breaking the contract, the one we refused to sign and made us walk out. This clinic has its priorities all mixed up!! more

stay away from kelsey-seybold, they will loot you and your insurance company! 5/21/2013

recently, i had a visit with a doctor at kelsey. A <5 min visit with the doctor ($561/-) and the blood work at kelsey $1300/-) added upto almost $1900/-. as the insurance not paying for this, kelsey is after me to pay all these. what a rip off. after all that blood work, doctor's recommendton is to take vitamin D tablets! still now, i have no clue why teh doctor ordered for so many blood work. If he had told me aboutall these blood works and some hint on the cost, i would have ran away! these guys are simply looting the system, the patients, insurance companies, medicare, medicaid. this MUST be stopped. so, my advice to you all is to STAY away from Kelsey as far as you can, it will suck all your money away! more

Still unhappy 4/16/2013

Many years ago I went to kelsey when I got pregnant with my son. The first OBGYN visit was horrible and humiliating. I left Kelsey as soon as I could, but as fate would have it my husband's employer changed insurance plans and we are forced to go back to Kelsey. Everytime we go in for something it feels like we are inconviencing the doctors just by being in their office. I've not found a good doctor in the entire group yet. Now I need to get vision therapy out of network for my son and Kelsey is denying the coverage. I'm so over Kelsey, avoid them if at all possible!! more

Doctor's do not like to prescribe medicine - they want to keep seeing you!. 4/12/2013

I had runny nose, sneezing it all started while at work.. i went to Kelsey at the Park Shops because it was convenient..Dr. Silva prescribed a nasal spray and some steroids.. 3 days later i had an awful cough. she asked me to call if i didnt get better, its like she knew. i called and asked if she could prescribe some cough medicine, and they told me they couldnt do that she had to see me. 2 other co-workers had the same thing i did and they didnt go to kelsey, they went to their regular doctors.. they warned me about going to kelsey, they said they wont give you the meds you need at first, they want you to keep coming back to charge the insurance and you spend more $ on the co-pay. Im out, NEVER AGAIN kelsey..im going back to my regular doctor. more

Will sell you services and billed it to the point your insurance won't cover 3/27/2013

This will be the last time I will be going to the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. I went there recently for a Preventative Health-care visit since it was covered by my insurance at 100% including labs. Then I got slapped with a bill for $40! During a three-way call with my insurance and Kelsey Billing I was told that blood-work was not covered and that the doctor can get you to take any lab they feel that is necessary. Why would my doctor send me to do bloodwork when she told me I was healthy. The reason why they don't cover it is because of the new ObamaCare act. Can I say how peved I was!??! All I have to say is call your insurance and ask their staff to confirm that whatever they are about to put you through is covered by your insurance. more

Billing office SUCKS! 3/21/2013

I was recommended to see a dietitian for pre-diabetes. I went even though I didn't feel it was necessary because I got seen at the VA for the same thing already. The billing office didn't properly verify the visit properly with the insurance company and it ended up costing me my copay plus $102 extra. They felt it wasn't their fault (rude) and needless to say I didn't get a refund. The dietitian didn't tell me anything I didn't already know either. Back to the VA! more

Craptacular 2/13/2013

Dr arago asked me the same questions repeatedly, would cut me off when I tried to answer, she had no time for any if my questions or concerns. Staff rushes you through like cattle, no eye contact, smiles etc. I felt like I was being probed by aliens, not examined by a human trimg to help me. Not going back more
