Jose Luis Salon is in a prime location. Right after you get your hair done, you could meet up with friends for lunch, dinner, or drinks in one of the many great places nearby. Besides, you can show off how gorgeous your hair looks. :o) The staff is friendly and helpful when you call and when you come to the salon. They always offer you a drink while you wait. And in the waiting area you will find a huge selection of great products which your hairdresser can help you to choose from. Also, this salon is very aesthetically pleasing with lots of natural light from the huge windows facing 5th street, comfortable good looking furniture, and it is always clean. Keep in mind that you are not walking into a run of the mill hair salon that tries to get as many customers in and out in order to make enough money. So, it is not cheap, but I would say that for the amount of money you spend here, you are given much more care, time, and skill for your money. My hair dresser's name is Audrey Page, and she is always continuing her education on all the new ways to cut, style, and treat hair, and she can advise you on what will work well for you. I have very thick hair, and she knows just how to deal with it and takes the time she needs to get it cut just right. She always asks what I'm looking for before she starts cutting. With the quality shampoo and conditioner, and the great products used in your hair to style it, and the skill used to cut it, and the care taken in blow drying it, it's no wonder your hair looks like a million buck when you leave the salon. Ladies, trust me, even your husband will notice that you've had your hair done. Mine does. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that the way they massage your scalp and shampoo your hair, you'll feel like you've been to the spa. Give it a try :o) You won't be disappointed. I have been to Shawn twice for cut and color and he is simply wonderful! The salon is a beautiful and welcoming place and everyone is very fun and professional! I was pampered from the moment I walked in the door and Shawn made the time all about me! He told me this was my time to relax and enjoy. He talked to me about what style I wanted and asked what I do in my life to see what style might be best for me. He made this a personal and wonderful experience. He used his magic fingers and created a style I am just in love with! He also suggested a change in my color and I love it! Abel Salazar is why you go to a hair salon. He started cutting my hair 7 years ago and I have stayed with him ever since. I have never been complimented on my hair before but after Abel, I get nothing but compliments. He is an artist with scissors. If you have curly hair like me or straight hair like my daughter he will make you look fabulous. He is even wonderful with men's haircuts. My husband is frugal to the ninth degree but after Abel cut his hair he couldn't stand the discount places any more. He waits until I'm going to the salon so that Abel will cut his hair, too. In particular I was very impressed with Daniel Villareal, my stylist. They told me that he specialized in short hair cuts and I was excited that I was able to get in to see him that day. He was waiting for me when I came out of the restroom and greeted me warmly. We first talked about how I wanted to do the "" Halle Berry "" cut and the front office so kindly printed up an image for me of the "" Halle Berry "" hair cut I was wanting, definitely going above and beyond what I would expect from a salon. They were able to find the one I was wanting (after I searched magazines earlier in the day, unable to find a picture of Halle .) Daniel understood the haircut I wanted and modeled the cut off of the picture. He gave a really good shampoo and head massage. It was great. He was very enjoyable to talk to and told me about his passion for hair styling. He was thorough and detail-oriented with my haircut. I've received many compliments since he cut my hair. And have since been passing out DANIEL VILLAREAL'S Jose Luis business cards. My experience at Jose Luis salon has been one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. She listens to what you want, she suggests what you need. Not to mention cut is phenomenal...I've never had healthier looking hair and so many comlements!
