Poor Customer Service Pediatrics 5/31/2011

I was given a late appointment of 7:30 pm. The nurse and Dr. Simms were rude and cold. I asked to add my son to an appointment because 15 min. prior, I saw that his eye was pink. They saw him but were very short. Dr. Simms has NO bedside manner more

Frustrated at poor customer service! 12/9/2010

I've only seen Judy Melchiore (PA). She's great! Very kind and caring. However, the front desk is cold and rude. If you need to speak with someone behind the front desk, you get voice mail and then your call is not returned. I called Diana Wolfe, referral coordinator, 2 days ago concerning a referral and never received a return call. Thankfully, American Radiology agreed to call them directly as a result of my lack of success. The lab: Waiting room full. People standing. 3 staffers behind desk eating and did not acknowledge my presence as I stood at the window. All of a sudden, they started seeing patients and then it went quickly. Apparently, we all had to wait for them to finish their breakfast! more

John Hopkins 10/5/2010

I have been going there for several years and I am not pleased with the service I have received. I was told last year I was a diabetic and was put on medicne. I read that you should have a blood test every 6 months been over a year now and no one has told me to get a blood test more

Pediatric's are a joke!!!!!!! 9/28/2009

Bad: I took my daughter in for a UTI. The doctor told me she didn't have one, and that I shouldnt bring her in every time she cries when she pee's. I found my self in the emergency room five hours later with her, she had a 106 fever, and a massive kidney infection that they had to shot antibiotic's into her arms and legs to cure!. Other: I always take my kids to see Dr. Larson! She's the best!. more

Great Place for Your Family 9/1/2009

I have only great things to say about Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. We recently returned to the area after two years and chose to return to Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. All three of my children see the same doctor; he is board certified in pediatrics. I recommend that if one is not satisfied with a doctor at this particular office that he or she try another doctor within the practice. One of my children has chronic medical issues, and I would only trust his PCM at Johns Hopkins. I have friends who absolutely love the pediatricians. And I had nothing but POSITIVE experiences with the OBGYN portion of the practice. more

Not the best choice for your kids! 7/10/2009

I thought that being part of John Hopkins this place would be great, but it has been a constant disappointment. The Ped drs are a real joke. Ours I will call "Dr. S" diagnosed a staph as a yeast infection. Even I doubted her diagnosis! She also refused to fit us in when we told her my daughter was in pain with the yeast meds and that it was getting worse, she just told us to keep going and call back in a couple days if not better. We finally went to Nighttime Ped bec. the rash was so red and spreading and the dr looked at it and sd no way it could be yeast. He knew just by looking what it was, but he did a simple rapid step and that was it! We get much better care from our urgent care/after hrs places. Recently, we had to take her to urgent care for a swollen arm, were told by the dr that she absolutely had to be seen by our reg. doc within 24hrs. I called the next day to John Hopkins of Odenton and even their nurse thought it was imp that "Dr S." see her and yet, I just got a call back from her saying that she was not going to see her bec. she was sure that it was just a strong response to a vaccine (her arm was swollen 3X and red and hot and from shoulder to elbow!) and that if it didn't improve in 48hrs, call again! She also thought that the antibiotics prescribed by the Nighttime Doc was unnecessary but said, "But, since I haven't seen it, just keep giving her the antibiotics, but for only 5days instead of 10" Luckily, I know that I get better care from Nighttime Ped. so I will just go there to se a real doctor if I need to. What a joke! more

John Hopkins Community Physicians 8/11/2006

I expected superior service from a group affiliated with John Hopkins. however, in the past two years, I've been disappoinnted by each of the doctors i've seen as well as the staff. the wait times are VERY long, the lab techs who draw blood are combative, and at least two of the doctors seem to be lacking good bedside manner. That is not to say that there aren't excellent doctors in the group, I just haven't encountered one yet. more
