Joe's Salon & Spa

I have been to this salon for bikini waxes and massages multiple times and have also tried the faciials and pedicures. I have had nothing but good experiences. The surroundings are peaceful and serene. The staff is friendly, caring and professional. I have been to Fredric Fekkai and other salons in NYC and have not had a better experience than I do when I go to Joe's. I feel lucky to have a place like this so close to home. more

My hair is difficult to cut and style. I have been going to Karen for 6 years now and I can easily blow dry every cut I receive. more

I am an extremely fussy, to put it mildly, person when it comes to my hair. I want a professional, unique and up to date look and get that when I am in the hands of Jessica. She takes the time to talk and create WITH you the look you want. Her own styles are a testimony to her expertise in her profession. I have taken my daughter to her as well and we both agree that Jess cuts each hair individually creating exactly what you want when you leave, as well as, the next day when you have to do it yourself. Joe's is a wonderful, relaxing experience. I've lived in nm my whole life, but always thought Joe's was too expensive for me, however, 2 years ago, I decided to donate my long, thick hair to locks of love and chose Joe's as my salon of choice. I was nervous as I had been growing my hair out for years to do this. When I walked in, I was paired with Jen, a hairdresser about my age, who walked me through every step of the process. I had prepared myself for one ponytail cut however, my hair was too thick so Jen had to make 4 ponytails, which meant 4 cuts. As the scissor blades went through each ponytail, another tear rolled down my cheek, not of sadness but of excitement and nervousness. Jen made sure I was okay after each cut, and kept giving me reassuring words. By the 4th cut, I had formed a small crowd around me (along with my mother snapping photos) and then it was time to wash it and clean it up. By the end of my visit, I walked away with a gorgeous short haircut, a big, smile, and a new favorite place. Ever since that day, I have gone back to Joe's for a wash, cut, and blow-dry every 6-8 weeks and every time I go, I am never disappointed. I am always greeted with smiles and kindness. I have recently started using the spa and have gotten facials, massages, and eyebrows waxed up there. It is so peaceful and serene upstairs, I never want to leave. Long story short, as I'm sure you can tell, I absolutely love Joe's and wish I had gone years ago. Yes, if you are getting the works done on your head, it is going to cost you some cash, but you will be treated like a queen while you are there, which in itself, is completely worth it for me. Not only do I head to Joe's every 6-8 weeks, but I now have my mother, younger sister, and 92 year old grandmother going to the salon as well and recommend it to anyone who asks. Everyone needs to feel like a queen once and a while...let's Joe's do that pampering for you. I promise you will not be disappointed! Pros: friendly, fun, relaxing, good quality, awesome! It took forever to find parking and once I got into the salon I had to wait about twenty minutes because the owner who was giving me my facial was running behind. When I finally got upstairs, I felt I never had the full attention of my therapist. she seemed distracted and I felt very cheated out of all the money I was paying. She spoke more to the other therapists than she did to me. I did not like the treatment I received and will never go back. the spa is a nice looking place but if you really want to be pampered go somewhere else!! more

Because Joe's is the only Spa in the New Milford area accepting The Spafinder Gift Certificate, I tried to use it but to no avail. 1st, Parking is difficult to find if the small lot is full. I made an appt for a simple eyebrow wax and sat on the hard bench for 35 mins. I left telling the receptionist I knew it wasn't her fault and I would come another time. She said I didn't need an appt.; Unless it was a Holiday. So I went back a couple months later in the middle of the week to try again and was told there were no appts. available. I explained that I was told I didn't need one and was then told "usually" that was true but one girl was out and only one was working that did eyebrow waxing. (That's amazing for a Spa to have only one person available.) They tried to convince me to do "Threading" but I had to insist that I did NOT want that and I felt that since this was my third time there, I would not be returning. Bottom line: My time is just as important as anyones, If I make an Appt, it's up to them to accommodate. They made NO attempt to try to accommodate me at all. Just an "I'm Sorry there's nothing we can do". I now go to a Spa in Southbury and am very happy. more

When the weather outside was frightful and I needed a break from the bustle I found peace and enchantment at Joe's Hair & Body. It was the perfect experience complete with relaxation, smells of splendor and treatments that more than exceeded my expectations. The services and staff were some of the best that I have experienced yet. We all forget to do great things for ourselves, but let me remind you how important it is. I left feeling renewed, relaxed and good about me. You owe it to yourself. I will be back again and I encourage you to do the same. Treat yourself to what you deserve...I am so glad that I did! more
