Best

This is a great place for late night munchies and all day and night dining. Jerry's has never let me down.

Worst

Terrible food quality and they screwed up the order.

I love this place but I haven't been since around 2005. The food is good to average. Saw David Spade there once. That was neat. I recommend the Hummus... more

OVERPRICED AND THE STAFF DOESN'T CARE 1/31/2012

The foods fine, but overpriced to say the least. Plus the staff doesn't give two cents about you. I called them 15 minutes away while in my car to pick up an order. They put me on hold the entire time. I even walked in with my cell phone still on hold and made it to the front of the take out line (there was 1 guy waiting for food and 2 staff behind the counter) and told them I was the one person still on hold! They didn't care. I even asked the manager what's going on and he just said ""Nothing I can do about it, your here now"". OF COURSE I WAS THERE! THEY NEVER PICKED UP THE LINE WHILE THERE STAFF WAS WAITING AROUND DOING BARELY ANYTHING! more

I won't even go there to meet friends 4/9/2011

Their floors are so greasy you'll slide on them. The food is terrible and prices are crazy more

Jerry's Deli in Studio City 6/22/2009

In the past, when in LA on vacation, we have made it a point to eat at Jerry?s ?Famous Deli? on Ventura Blvd in Studio City. Cons: Terrible food more

Not Feeling Well After Eating At Jerry's 2/12/2009

I wish I had looked at the reviews before I ate lunch here! I just tried this place for the third and last time! My boss treated us all to lunch and he picked this place or else I would not have eaten here more than once. I ordered the overpriced buffalo chicken sandwich. It was greasy and only came with a bit of wilted lettuce and some soggy fries. No tomato or pickle. I immediately felt sick and had a horrible headache. Now that I read about the MSG content in their food I know why - I am very allergic! Now, about another time I ate at Jerry's, I ordered eggs benedict - one of my favorites. Well, they nearly put me off of eggs benedict forever! Not only was it cold, greasy, and disgusting, but there was a hair in my food! Gross!! Cons: everything more

Look, the food is good. The portions are ample to huge. But I always have sticker shock at Jerry's. It really just seems ridiculously overpriced. At the same time, I've never had a bad meal there. All the Jewish deli staples are top notch from the chicken liver to the kugel to the reuben. The "White Pizza" is decadent. Just get ready to hand over your whole wallet. more

It burned down once, let's pray it will again! 8/26/2008

Stay away if you care about life as we know it. Pros: There are no pros working here Cons: Too many to write about. Simpy - stay away at all costs more

Soup contains MSG - I'll miss their chocolate cake 1/18/2008

I got chicken rice soup when I felt sick last week. Soon after I had to rush to the doctor for a shot of Benadryl. There was so much MSG in my soup, I had an allergic reaction - my whole body broke out in hives. That has never happened to me before, ever. Pros: cake Cons: MSG more

GOOD...not the best. 11/2/2007

All the jerry's are good delis. But any true deli lover knows that their corned beef and pastrami are not the real thing. The only place in LA that has true quality pastrami is Langer's downtown. But beyond this Jerry's has good, fresh deli fare! more

Nummy Num 12/23/2006

I really love this place. I come here when I have a little extra money I don't mind spending. I really love the creamy tomato pene pasta. Give it a try, I get it every time I come here. Their milkshakes are also good. Pros: Good Food, Clean/Nice atmosphere Cons: Pricey/Service slow more

Place for great Pastrami or Cornbeef sandwiches 11/17/2006

Hey what a great place for Hot Pastrami and/ or Cornbeef Sandwiches. Great homemade Matzoh ball Soups. Sometimes food comes out cold and must be turned back and returned to get the sandwich or food right, even if it's busy. In the end, everyones happy. Sooner or later, product will come out hot and fresh on the first time. more

poor management, poor service, food quality not consistant 10/3/2006

If you are not hungary and if you dont mind waiting 40 minutes to get cold food that was supposed to be hot, and you don't mind paying 14 dollars for a sandwich that is less than an inch thick, then go to Jerry's Famous Deli in Studio City. Sometimes Jerry's is very good, and sometimes it is very bad. The last time I went it was very bad. Jerry's Famous Deli in Studio City is not a well run business. There are employees everywhere standing around doing nothing, watching tv, counting tips, eating, doing everything except serving food and providing quality service. What a waste of time and money. On the bright side, it's a great place if you are on a diet and have lots of free time to waste. Pros: location Cons: poor service, inconsistant quality more

average-to-great deli food in a horribly remodeled environment 7/7/2006

I grew up on Jerry's (half a pastrami on rye, Caesar salad, chicken noodle soup, steak fries are all DELICIOUS) and used to go all the time. But ever since the heinous remodel, I haven't enjoyed it at all. Now, it's cheesy and weird and impersonal, and doesn't feel like a DELI; it feels like a club/doctor's office in Ft. Lauderdale or something. I've officially switched over to Swingers and the 101 and won't go back (unless it's for the pastrami sandwich.. YUM). more
