Paula runs the front office and takes care of the insurance submissions and appointment scheduling. If Dr. Guttman or the hygienist is running behind, she will contact me to rearrange the appointment time. This is appreciated very much; as I have better things to do than sit in a waiting room! more

Dr. Guttman deals with dental chickens (like me) in a caring manner. I have had several root canals and one extraction of an infected tooth, followed by a bridge. I am very happy with the bridge. He has also done several crowns for me. I am very hard on my dental work, and the crowns have been known to come off when the dental cement gave up. Recently I had this happen when Dr. Guttman was leaving the office. He agreed to wait a set number of minutes for me, and when I made it in to his office, had my crown reattached in no time! more

I've had dental phobia my whole life - not anymore! My whole life I've had one thing or another going on in my mouth - a cavity, a needed root canal, a cracked tooth, a baby tooth that refused to come out at 35, you name it I had it! I had my first tooth pulled when I was 10 and it was such a bad experience I never wanted to go to the dentist again. Than i found this place and it was the best experience ever they made sure i was comfortable and explained everything to me as they were doing it step by step. Thank you for your comfort and patience. more

The office itself is homey, modern, and the staff is very friendly. The whole process was not long, and on my way back home, I drove on the coast. (which is only a minute away from the office!) Gorgeous view!!! That sure was an added bonus :)\r more

I made an appointmentfor the first time in Playa Del Rey. The receptionist was very accommodating with my schedule. She even called to confirm my appointment a couple of days ahead, and when I showed up early for it, they were able to bump up my appointment! How fantastic is that?\r more

I have been a patient of Dr. Guttman for a few years now. I was first recommended to him by my dad. He is very personable, gentle, and is phenomenal at what he does. He used to work in the city of Montebello, but when I called to make a routine check-up, I found out that he had moved to a different location. I was shocked and bummed out when I first found out it was about 40 minutes away vs the usual 15...but, I do only have to go twice a year, right? Shouldn't be so bad. I would not go any where else.\r more

I was the biggest chicken and had a horrible fear of dentists having had bad experiences all my life. Dr. Guttman took away that fear completely. I have never been to a dentist that was completely pain free. I had a filling done and later in the day and the next day I felt nothing. He was sensitive to my fears and talked me through the process. I was so happy with my results I'm looking forward to seeing him again. Anyone out there with a fear of dentists should definitely schedule with Dr. Guttman.\r more

I went to Dr. G to have some previous work fixed up and was immediately put at ease. He is calm, honest, and matter-of-fact without being pessimistic or critical. He is very friendly and approachable but still a professional - bringing a very welcoming vibe to the office. The office staff - Paula and Debbie - are amazing. They're what brought me into the office and now Dr. G's attitude and approach actually make me WANT to come back and get all of my dental issues resolved!\r more

I've had dental problems since I started teething as a toddler! Naturally, since every trip to the dentist ended up with me in tears as a child and young adult I developed a pretty big case of the jitters around going to the dentist - sick to my stomach, shaky, teary - all your classic anxiety symptoms. My fear of the dentist would normally keep me away just long enough to have a relatively small dental issue grow into a pretty severe one. Then I met Dr. Guttman.\r more

  • Treatment options include root canals, crowns, bridges, and dental implants. Fillings are mercury-free, tooth colored restorations. If you fear going to the dentist, Sedation Dentistry is available.At Dr. Guttmans dental office, we use safer, state-of-the-art digital x-rays, which use up to 90 percent less radiation than film type x-rays. Digital photographs are also used to aid in our diagnosis. We provide our patients with a full range of treatment options including cosmetic fillings, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and endodontics. Our cosmetic fillings are mercury-free, tooth colored restorations. If you are very apprehensive about your proposed dental treatment, various forms of sedation are available.
