I have a huge fear of dentist s he is great, I need to go again. Iplan on sending family members and enjoy the carnation after the visit a nice touch. they do not make me feel bad if I have not been as diligent in flossing, i try hard and brush more than daily, more like 4 times and I know I drive my staff crazy when I am in the bathroom brushing my teeth,pee later!!!! more

I was looking for a new dentist as I was not satisfied with the one I was using and I asked friends for a recommendation. Several suggested Dr. Jim Kornegay and I was extremely pleased with Dr. Jim and his staff! He saw an "area of concern" in my mouth with one of my crowns and he took the time to explain exactly what he saw and put me at ease. Luckily there is nothing that needs to be done now, but he will keep an eye on it for me. more

I moved here recently and was looking for a dentist who catered to cowards. A friend of mine went to see Dr. Tim Kornegay for a root canal and after hearing about her experience with the friendly caring staff at Dr. Kornegay's, I decided to make an appointment. Now going to the dentist will never be on my top ten list of things to do, but the staff here are efficient and caring. I found Dr. Kornegay about 15 years ago after having a really bad experience with a "chain" type dentist office in Deland. At the end of my rope with that "insurance approved" dentist, I asked a family friend who was a retired oral surgeon about how to find a local dentist without picking one from the yellow pages. He told me to find a dentist who was a member of the professional organization Acadamy of General Dentistry. Fellows and Masters of the AGD follow a lifelong pursuit of continuing education to provide the highest quality of dental care to patients, and to remain current in their profession by continuing to learn new techniques for their dental practice. My husband and our 3 children, are all pleased with the care and personal service we receive at this dentist's office. Both "Dr.James" and his son "Dr. Tim" are highly recommended. more

This is hands down the best dentist in the area! Dr. Kornegay (there are 2 - son and dad - both GREAT!) and his office staff are amazing. I have had numerous problems with my teeth and had to have some extensive work done. They put you at ease, do great work, and make sure you understand everything. I was recommended to go there years ago and I have 5 family members and a few friends that all go there. You will not be disappointed!! more
