Had a Groupon so I felt comfortable trying out a salon with typical costs of higher-end salons. Karla was my stylist and she helped suggest a cut/style that would frame long/thin face nicely, modern/professional look, layers that flip-out. I was very happy with cut. I usually get crown highlights, alternating blond and red/auburn. Couldn't tell that the color was bold enough until she took me outside to view in mirror. Was exactly what I was looking for. I thought with all the positive reviews my search for a great salon tech would come to an end but unfortunately that is not the case. Extremely disappointed and have had friends even tell me they hate it too - my husband commented that I got a better haircut when I went to Cost Cutters - with the money spent for a hopeful fabulous haircut unfortunately this was an incredible let down - I am a little baffled with all the reviews that are positive - I am not often one to complain - things could be worse - but I do have to share I'm very surprised with so many positive reviews how I can get a hair cut like I did - I'm sorry to say this was a terrible experience and I will not be back. Sweet young girl Katelyn Scruggs but not happy at all - definitely didn't get what I paid for. more

Jason at J Gregory is knowledgeable and talented. My previous stylist had cut and colored my hair for the past 15 years; needless to say, when she moved out of state I was reluctant to go to a new salon. After asking many friends and colleagues for recommendations, I decided to go to Jason. He exceeded my expectations and gave me a fresh new cut and color. The overall experience at J Gregory is plesant and I have highly recommended Jason to family and friends. more

Katelyn Unger at J. Gregory is fab! I read many online reviews and decided to go with her since others had a positive experience, and her service and professionalism exceeded my expectations. Since I was a new customer she gave me a free hair shine cleaning while I was waiting. She took her time, listened to me, and gave me a great new cut based on my facial features and needs. After my new cut I was asking how to style it and she invited me back the following week for a free styling consultation. I brought my own products, wasn't pressured to buy new ones, and she worked with me until I was able to use a diffuser and get the maximum potential out of my hair products. In short, J. Gregory is a top-rate salon, and Katelyn in particular is professional, talented, and has the ability to match a new cut with what will look best on you in particular. I highly recommend. more

Karla Pankonin did the most wonderful job on my hair! I am very picky about getting my hair cut and dyed and Karla knew exactly what to do. I generally stay true to my stylist in San Francisco and have traveled across the country just to get my hair done by him, now that I have found J. Gregory Salon and Karla I have a new stylist I would travel cross country for. I was extremely nervous about going anywhere else but after speaking with the receptionist and being paired with Karla I knew I had found my new salon. Karla did an amazing job on my hair and has a wonderful eye for matching my facial structure with the cut creating one of the best haircuts I have ever received. She was very thorough with the dye process and mt hair couldn't look better. I am so pleased with finding J. Gregory Salon the whole staff were exceptionally pleasant and made my wait (about 2 min) not only enjoyable but well taken care of too. The Salon is wonderful inside and the ambiance truly shouted that they care about hair. I even made an appointment for my fiance (who has unmanageable hair) and when he came back I was blown away by the way his hair looked! He has never looked so good and is the only place I am letting him go for his hair again. Once again the one who completely transformed my fiance was Karla. She is truly an artist and knows exactly how to transform the worst hair into gold. I am only ever going to Karla she has the magic touch and is the only one I will entrust with my hair. Thank you so much Karla and I look forward to my next appointment.....I only wish my hair grew faster so I could experience the joy of Karla's amazing skills and The wonderful staff at J. Constantine Prajescu knew the perfect looks for both my son and for me. Constantine had in mind the ""finished product"", before I even reached his station. It was the perfect combination of color-blend and layered cut, that put into place a more long-lasting, chic hair style. In between appointments, I am not randomly touching up roots nor wasting money on a cheapo trim somewhere, because the finished product holds together as one well-blended final look. Constantine is also amazing at kids' cuts and did a stylish, efficient and cost-effective style for my boy. more

I made the mistake of going to someone else at a different salon for a hair cut because it was convenient instead of going to my usual stylist, Katelyn at J. Gregory. I asked this guy to just trim my hair and maybe have some pieces that frame my face in the front. He either misunderstood what I said or he completely ignored what I wanted. He decided to give me weird layers all over and the ""face framing"" part ended up being really short (almost bang length) pieces that were an inch and a half shorter on the right side than the left. He also made a lot of blunt cuts so it looked really choppy. When he was done I told him that it was a lot shorter and different than we had discussed and he told me ""it will grow out."" Gee thanks. Needless to say, I cried a few times over the next few days every time I tried to style my hair.\r \r I went to J. Gregory to see if Katelyn could do anything. I thought she might be irritated that I ""cheated"" on her but she was very understanding and told me she could help me get back to normal. I expected her to soften the edges a bit and maybe get me back to normal after a little hair growing and a few hair cuts. She ended up completely fixing what that other guy did in one hair cut! I didn't expect to love it but I do! She truly turned lemons into lemon aid. I love my new look and have gotten several compliments. I will never stray again!! \r \r If you're looking for a great stylist who will listen to you and do what YOU want then she's the one for you. She also does incredible highlights. I'm a dark brunette turned dirty blonde through her skills and I feel that it looks very natural. Even the dude who butchered my hair complimented my highlights before he got scissor-crazy. :) more

I never spend a lot of money on my hair, but, bought a groupon and was so pleased I did!! Jason was polite, informative and non-judgemental when talking about what to do with my hair. He highlighted, cut and educated me on how to take care of my hair and why the cut would work better for me. Seriously, this is probably the best haircut I've ever had and that's saying a lot because I'm 47. Try this salon and this stylist, you will not be disappointed. more

I purchased a coupon to the salon via Groupon and was so pleasantly surprised. Jason was my stylist and he completely understood exactly what I needed. It was almost as if he read my mind. My hair looks great and I would recommend him to anyone. more

I have had my hair cut many times and most times I have ask for something different and walk out with the same haircut. Always upset and wanting to just cut it all off. I went to Constantine and he was wonderful he told me what would look good on me and cut it exactly the way he described it.\r \r I also had color and what a transformation I got, it was wonderful, I felt like a new person. \r \r He was a joy to have, it was never uncomfortable with him, he made sure I had everything I needed.\r \r I will use him as long as he is around and will also bring my daughter to him. more

Karla is amazing... a few years ago, my stylist moved out of state and I have been searching for one ever since. The client/stylist relationship is not one-size-fits-all as we all have different hair types, textures, preferences, needs, etc. I change my mind a lot and am not always the best at articulating what I want because, quite frankly, I don't always know what I want. Enter: Karla. I tried J Gregory on a whim and the person who booked me asked a few questions about my hair over the phone, (the first time this has ever happened to me and I think it's genius,) and paired me with Karla. I came in and gave her a brief hair history and some vague direction on what I want. She analyzed, shared her thoughts with me, and said I have a good idea of where to take this. She did a fabulous cut (cut both wet and dry which I need since I have split ends,) and a multiple process color including a root color, pull through, highlight and gloss. Seems like a lot but I've done this at other salons and the processing time was less here and the result is better.... my hair is not fried and my color is vibrant; a sign of a great colorist using great quality products. My hair looks amazing and for not having a clear vision, it is exactly what I wanted! I have scheduled my next two appointments with Karla and can tell that I will be a long term client. She is so sweet, stylish and friendly... she felt like a girlfriend from way back. Now on to the salon - gorgeous! Very well designed interior, stylish and not sterile like you find in some salons trying to be edgy. There was water, tea and coffee, a decent selection of products to take home for your new 'do, and very comfortable and well maintained furniture. A nice bit of personality in the decor but not so much that it looks more like an art studio. ALL of the stylists were fashionable and on-trend, which means a lot to me because they are style advisors for your hair so why not dress the part too. Seemed like a good mix of personalities and styles. Most importantly, these people know what they are doing. You can tell by the way that they work on their clients and Karla spoke with me about their ongoing training which I see as a must. Bravo, J Gregory! I am hooked! **One quick tip - do not park on the Tejon side. Park on the Ramona Avenue side as this is where you enter and there are more spaces available. The Tejon side spaces are for Blue Star. more

Ashley has been my colorist for almost a year and I am very happy with her work. We have transitioned my hair from boring brunette to fabulous natural looking blonde. . I get compliments from friends and strangers. Not even kidding, random people just walk by and say ""I like your hair!"". That's never happened to me before, but it's all because of Ash! \r I feel confident in recommending her color services. She listens to what you want and adds her input to make your appointment a great experience. \r \r And an added bonus is that she is hillarious! Who doesn't love that?! more

Irina has done my hair a few times at J Gregory, just a few cuts and a color. I'm always very happy with her work. She takes time washing your hair which is always so relaxing. Yesterday I went in with an idea of what I wanted my highlights to look like and gave her a short description of what I wanted. \r \r When my hair was finished... I couldn't believe how perfect the color was. She knew exactly what I wanted and I've never loved my hair so much. She even styled it beautifully and I walked out of the salon feeling super confident and pretty. \r \r Irina is very detail orientated and precise, yet the process only took a small chunk of time from my day. New to the area and was looking for a salon, saw the reviews and thought I'd give it a try! I was going to go to katelyn or Constatine (based on reviews... even though I believe they were asked to by the stylist, but either way, they sounded happy) but went to someone else based on a co-worker reference. I went a few times, but was never really sold on her, the last time I did I wanted a few inches off and showed a pic that had the length just past the shoulders...... well, she cut about 6 inches off and I looked like a 12 yr old!! Blunt bob barely touching my shoulders... :( \r I got my hair fixed at Jula Salon and Spa and am much happier.. although I was not ready to go this short, I had to make the kiddie cut I got from the J Gregory stlyist tolerable. I would try the sylists mentioned in these reviews, I didn't just because I don't want to go back... I'm traumatized (lol)..... Good Luck!! more

After 13 years with my stylist in Cherry Creek, I decided that I needed a new look. I wanted shaggy and current. Jason Crampton exceeded my expectations and I could not feel sexier. I would recommend him to all of my friends/family! more

I had been loyally going to the same sytlist in Cherry Creek for 13 years, until this past week when I decided that I needed a change. Jason @ J. Gregory was able to give me a totally new look from my old cut that I can make look different everyday depending on my own creative styling ability (which is pretty limited!). His vision and ability is impressive, and I am recommending him to everyone that I know. more

If you want a spectacular cut, go see Constantin! He is so amazing. He knew exactly what I wanted and gave me highlights that looked perfect for my skin tone. Don't try anyone else or any other place. If you want that professional cut and color from an experienced hairstylist, you will not be disappointed. I walked in looking like a train wreck and walked out looking like a model! CONSTANTIN IS TRULY THE BEST!! more
