Everyone has needs and that includes my horses. At J&A Ranch, my horses have clean stalls, good hay, grain, fresh water, green pasture through-out the grazing season and a herd to belong to. They are treated kindly, are on a stable imposed worming program, are on a burrdock free pasture, are contained by good fences, and can depend on a reasonable schedule for their day.\r \r My needs are met with an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, heated lounge, friendly people, good location, reasonable fees, parking and the peace of mind that my horses are well cared for.\r \r If you're looking for a new place to board your horses, take your time, investigate anywhere you are considering, and please, if the location and the price suit you, consider J&A Ranch. Not all boarders are asked to leave this terrible boarding facility. Maybe they just realized how bad things were getting and decided to leave. Yes there are boarders that have been there for a long time and they will tell you that its a good place and it was when I first got there. They are blind to the abuse or think nothing is wrong with the conditions there. This barn also has a lot of long term boarders that drink together and have a good time, if they are all friends maybe their judgement might be clouded a bit. That doesn't mean that if they removed their horse it would have a dramatic effect on the horses behavior and personality. Mine changed, for the good, shinier coat, more friendly, and a fatter belly! These are all reasons enough for me that I made the right decision. When I left it wasn't because I didn't follow the rules and was asked to. It was because I could get a better quality of care for my horse somewhere else and peace of mind. I chose to value my horses life! The people that are ""Long Term Boarders"" are either blind to the abuse or don't think that what goes on there is wrong. Its that simple. more

As stated in the reviews - For the truth about J&A Ranch please call them directly. I just want horse people to know that I have been boarding my horses with J&A Ranch for a long time now. 12 Years is enough time to see boarders come and go. Some boarders left on great terms and others left very angry. It is my opinion that these angry boarders are now saying bad things about J&A Ranch. It has been stated horses have been mistreated and not feed food when needed. I am hear to tell all THIS IS NOT TRUE. My horses have never I mean never been mistreated, abused or gone without food and water. My Gosh mean and angry past boarders get a grip on reality. Just because you did not follow the rules and you were asked to leave does not give you the right to spread evil lies. Take responsibility for your action and step up to the plate and be a Man/Women about things. I truly cannot believe that you would stoop as low as you all have and to be honest I thought you had more class then that. Man was I wrong. Just when you think you know someone. If J&A Ranch is as bad as you all say it is - Why would a person like me choose to stay? I choose to stay because J&A Ranch knows what it takes to keep my horses happy. My horses have the best of care and the best of Hay and Grain. My horses have gone without anything. They have never suffered and they have great care being at J&A Ranch. J&A Ranch must be doing something right to have me and a few others who have been boarding there for a long time now. If you are looking for a place to board, then please stop by and check them out. EVERYONE THAT GOES TO THIS BARN IS TREATED WELL IN THE BEGINING. I EVEN FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PLACE WHEN I FIRST GOT THERE. I GOT ALONG WITH THE OWNERS AS WELL AS THE OTHER BOARDERS. MY HORSE ""SEEMED"" HAPPY! THATS HOW THEY GET YOU. I WOULD LIKE TO THINK THAT I AM ALWAYS IN CONTROL WHEN IT COMES TO THE CARE FOR MY HORSE, BUT I WAS COMPLETELY DUMBFOUNDED WHEN I WAS BEING YELLED AT FOR WATERING MY HORSE IN THE STALL. I WAS CHARGED EXTRA MONEY FOR HAVING MY HORSE IN AT NIGHT. JUST RECENTLY I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS BECAUSE THERE IS EXTRA CLEANING WHEN HORSES ARE IN OVER NIGHT. I THOUGHT THATS WHY THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN PRICE BETWEEN STALL AND PASTURE BOARD. I WAS NOT TOLD ABOUT THIS EXTRA FEE WHEN I SIGHNED THE CONTRACT. IF I HAD KNOW, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFRENT STORY. I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO ANYONE WHO PUTS THEIR HORSE THERE, I WOULDN'T. more

HI to All, I just wanted people to know that J&A Ranch is a very nice place to board your horse or horses. I have read so many bad things about what people are saying about this stable that I had to go check it out for myself. I found the horses currently boarded at this facility to be well taken care of. There was water in the huge metal tank and it was even heated to prevent it from freezing. The horses were playing around and they seemed to be very happy in the pasture. There was plenty of hay on the ground for all to eat. I meet several boarders that were really nice and have been boarding there for a long time. When I asked their opinion about what was being said and going on I was told that unhappy boarders who did not follow the rules were asked to leave and now they are saying bad things about the barn. I spoke with the owners of this facility and we had a great conversation. Their stable/barn contract is a standard form within the boundaries of a regular boarding contract. Looking at all the negative things being said about this stable leaves me to believe that people are just being mean and trying to hurt or even ruin this stables name. So taking the positive things that are being said about this stable, the conversation with the owners and the fact that they have several long term boarders is enough for me to board my horse with them. I find J&A Ranch to be a very nice place to board a horse and the long term boarders are nice too. more

AGAIN J&A Ranch is a wonderful and kind place to board your horse or horses. FOR THE TRUTH CALL THEM DIRECT. THEY HAVE CREDITABLE REFERENCES. Boarders like me have been there for a long time and I have positive things to say about this stable. The horses at J&A Ranch to include mine are healthy and happy. As one of the long term boarders, I can tell you that I have never seen abuse or mistreating of any horse at this facility. It amazes me that people would be mean to others who have gone out of there way to help those boarders who were here and then left. It really makes me wonder if they will do the same thing when they leave the boarding place they are currently at. Maybe comments should be posted at their current stables warning the owners to watch out for these mean and angry boarders because this could happen to them. With one of the Ex boarders this seems to be a trend for them. J&A went above and beyond to help you all when you were here. I will support and stand behind J&A Ranch and I will use every resource I have to fight for what is right. I do welcome the time when we can all meet again so I can tell everyone how I really feel and let all know the good things J&A Ranch has done for my horses & others. These are the rudest people ever!!!! I have seen the horses whipped! Whipped so hard there are marks on the horses. I have seen him drive his truck into one of the horses when putting out hay. Also the horses did not get fed everynight. I was there everynight after school and the horses would sit by the gate waiting to be let in to feed and they would stand there all night. they are always drinking an alch beverage not to mention be drunk. It is so tense at this farm, tons of yelling and screaming and fighting. These people are in it for the money and not the care of the horse. When people look to board there they act so nice and innocent, but once they get your money everything takes a turn for the worse. I only had my horse there for a short time, Thank God!!!!, But what I saw there will haunt me for a long time.My horse was loosing a lot of weight and I couldn't figure out why. I found out later thet terry and john were only feeding once a day and not providing enough water. I was told that water is provided only outside not in the stalls.In the summer months when the horses are on grass they are only fed grain once a day, But they never increased the food in the winter either. I would ask that my horse be brought in during bad weather, it never was. I was there to check for myself when someone told me there were 30 horses in an acre lot. I could't believe it. I am not surprised that I'm not the only review about them. My horse depends on my to provide the best care I can for him and it brings me to tears to think about what he went through there. more
