always kind and asking was i ok. never fun to go to a dentist.. but when you are treated like you are very important.. it makes it easy to relax and know you are being taken care of. angie more

This was my initial visit, having transferred from Dr. Kenneth Scales, DDS who recently retired and is the father of Dr. Douglas Scales, DDS. "Like father, like son" -- real professionals with solid faith in the Lord who know how to put together a great dental team. Superb visit! My dental hygienist, Janie, was excellent and a joy to be with. more

I moved here recently from Chicago and was nervous looking for a new dentist. Dr. Scales and staff at Island Dentristy were so welcoming and really listened to my needs and understood by past experiences. I would recommend them to anyone. more

Best dental visit ever!!!! 6/29/2011

I have always feared dentists since having alot of work done over the last 50 some years , but I can honestly say that my visit today with Dr Scales and Michelle was the best ever. I needed a cap put on a tooth and Dr Scales was so kind and gentle and considerate. His assistant, Michelle was just the best! They both did so much to explain things to me, which kept me calm. more

Everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. As much as I usually dred going to the dentist office, I'm not as reluctant to go to Island Denistry. Of course, today I went for cleaning and didn't even see the dentist. That was a great day for medicine as far as I'm concerned! more

Great Experience! 6/27/2011

It was difficult for me to choose a new dentist upon my move to Florida. The practice taking care of my teeth in Ohio was perfect, and it would be hard to live up to those expectations. Island Dentistry surprised me. The entire team was very friendly and efficient. The dentist himself spent time talking with me as if I was his only patient. I will definitely be continuing my oral care with Island Dentistry! more

Went and had work done and the dentist was nice,funny and kind. The only problem is trying to hold your mouth open and laugh with his funny remarks. They all make you feel like your the only one who matters. thanks for caring. My whole family love this office. chad more

No one enjoys going to the dentist, but, for me this has been the best experience that I have had since I was a teenager in the dentist chair. They were caring about my comfort the whole time I was in there, and I am so glad that my daughter recommended Dr. Scales to me. Thanks so much for a very good experience. more

Excellent, professional and polite 5/25/2011

Several months ago i found myself searching for a dentist for my nine year old son. It was an emergency situation where a previously repaired tooth had broken. The tooth have been repaired at another practice that we no longer use. It had been repaired three times prior to breaking. I searched the net for a provider and made calls however no practice would see my son that day because of being a new patient. Island Dentistry said they would see him regardless of patient status. They said if a child was in need they would stay after if needed. The idea that my son was important to them makes Island Dentistry important to me. I have now began using them and my entire family will as dental care is needed. The staff is professional, polite, and will stop at nothing to make the patient feel comfortable and important. As ironic as it may sound, our visits are pleasant regardless of the procedures. more
