Excellent Cerec Job 9/6/2011

After some research about cerec crowns vs traditional crowns, I went and did it and I'm very satisfied. The dentist is very professional and perfectionist which result in an excellent job. Very Happy!!!! more

First Visit 9/2/2011

I was raised in the dental chair so I have a great fear of going. Dr. Scales and staff I met, Mindy, Danielle, Charlotte were very nice and Mindy was exceptional at treating me, talking to me about what exactly was going on in my mouth. The first visit could not have been any better. Thank you. more

I was anxious, but everything went great! 8/25/2011

I am one of those people who suffered from bad dentistry as a child (drilling without novocaine). Although I am nearly 60, I still have anxiety about dental procedures. My appointment today was to remove a large, old, cracked mercury filling on a molar that had decay under it. Everything went great! Dr. Scales put in a crown (a Cerec restoration). He and his staff asked many times if everything was okay, and I really appreciated that they were concerned with the comfort level of the patient. I took an ativan tablet (generic) for anxiety prior to the appointment and opted for nitrous oxide during the procedure. I also brought peaceful music and headphones and wore sunglasses. All of these helped my comfort level significantly. I rate this visit as an A+. The hygienist I saw at this office a few weeks ago was excellent also. more

I went to the office for a New Patient appointment. I found the staff to be very friendly and the office to be up to date with the latest equipment. Dr. Scales is personable and was very easy to talk to about treatment I needed. I would recommend Island Dentistry to any of my friends or family. more

Professional, Quality Care with Friendly Staff 8/10/2011

I was very pleased with my experience at Island Dentistry. I was ushered back nearly before I had a chance to get seated in the waiting room, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The equipment was state-of-the-art and Dr. Scales was quite competent and personable. more

Quality and Service are Job One! 8/9/2011

Just wanted to say thank you again for the great job Island Dentistry did on my crown. The crown looks and feels great. I was especially impressed with Dr. Scales patience and detail to perfection. When my crown was completed it felt good, but Dr. Scales worried that it might not be perfect and continued working on it. It would have been easy for him to move on to the next patient, and I'm sure I would have never known the difference. Thanks for making me and my crown a top priority. Also when I checked out there was a goodie bag at the counter for me. I had left this goodie bag on the counter over two weeks earlier after my dental cleaning with Mindy. They had put my name on the bag and held it at the counter for me. More outstanding service. Thank you again.... Robert more

I always have been treated with the utmost respect, kindness and helpful personnel. There was no pain in the procedure done and that was a great thing. They were helpful and answered all my questions. I have nothing but postive comments to say about Island Dentistry. Dr. Scales' office has the best dentistry professionals that I have ever been a patient of. Their patience, understanding, and assistance with the most effective way to deal with my case gave me reasurance that they are not just another typical dentist office. From help with the correct insurance coverage to interconnection with other required services was an easy experience. I would recommend Island Dentistry to anyone. more

Filling 7/29/2011

Today was a different experience! After having a root canal in a crowned tooth, I had a filling placed in the crown. There was no numbing but Dr. Scales had a shot waiting just in case. Just another example of wanting the patient to feel comfortable with the care of their teeth! Dr. Scales wit and reparte with his assistant helps the minutes go by very quickly. I am very happy to be a patient of Island Denistry. more

We were warmly greated by Charlotte and Danielle at the front desk when we arrived. Lynn did a great job cleaning my daughter's teeth, working around her braces. She was throrough but gentle. Our experience with Dr. Scales and his staff has always been terrific! I highly reccomend Island Dentistry! more
