If you want just a good old fashioned night at the ballpark with friends or family, you'll have a good time at the Iowa Cubs. A triple A team that feeds right into the Chicago cubs you see the rising stars on their way. Sometimes you'll see the some of the major league players back here recovering injuries too before heading back up. The ticket prices are reasonable, and the ball park is relatively new, so it's nice. The food will be a little pricey, so eat well before you go and buy your treats there. Though the prices are still much more reasonable than the majors. Parking really isn't too bad on site, and there is plenty of parking off site as well. Really a fun night out! more

Family fun for everyone 7/29/2005

If you're looking for a great night out for the whole family, check out a Cubs game. Tickets are available most nights they play at home, and sometimes you'll even see big names like Mark Prior or Kerry Wood if you're lucky and they're rehabbing in town. On those nights, you'd better have tickets beforehand. There are always giveaways, and it's really funny to see them shoot a hot dog out of a cannon in between innings. Reserved seats are just $8, so it's a cheap date, too. more
