Run do not walk from this business 8/18/2011

I wish I could give this place a negative star review...I attempted to stop at Indian Harvest today with my Sister, Brother in law and my 5 year old son. We had every intention of looking and possibly buying something. My husband and I love Indian pottery, blankets and such. We collect indian art. But when the woman told me it would be 8.00 for us to enter to even see what was in this very small building I really had an issue with it. How do I know if I want to buy something when I cannot even see it. We said ok no thanks we will move on and the woman started screaming at us and then we saw the man standing at the top of the hill. We ignored them and left but as we were pulling out the man was waving a not so nice hand at us. We had just been at another stop on the road where I alone spend 40.00, I guess they are wanting to go out of business. I will never go to this place again and I am posting on every website I can find my experience in hope that no one goes to this crazy place ever again. They are insane. They should not be in business. more

Well worth the stop!! 6/10/2011

First, let me say I was so impressed with this little shop that I wanted to post my positive experience with everyone. My husband and I stopped by today and had a very pleasant experience with the owners who are very nice and knowledgeable about native Americans and the items in their store. They have items ranging from earrings made by native Americans on reservations to a carved flute made by someone in the Cherokee nation. I bought some absolutely gorgeous earrings and can't wait to return to buy more! There is a very small entry fee into the gift shop that is immediately deducted from anything you purchase. The fee is $2.00 so it is the perfect amount for a small Souvineer! The entry fee is to enable the establishment to control how many people at a time are in the gift shop as it is small. The shop being small does not mean there is little inventory. They have gorgeous things everywhere you look! When you drive along the highway you can see the white teepees along side the road. I do know the owners prefer if ask their permission before taking pictures...... Be respectful that you are on private property. You wouldn't drive into any other business and take a picture and leave without buying anything, right? Overall a truly outstanding visit and I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in native American culture and authentic native American items produced in part at least (the items I purchased) at native american reservations, you must add this stop to your list! After such a glowing review I have to address any skeptics out there. I am in no way related to anyone working or associated with this shop. I am just a traveler who found a place she really liked! Love this store, will return and will tell everyone I know about it! more
