TOP FLIGHT PROFESSIONALS!\r Adam and professional his team at Imperial Transmission are the best! My 2005 Buick Rendevous transmission was (supposedly) rebuilt by James (owner) at Triad Transmission in Franklinton NC. After 5 trips, 3 months, and $1600 they refused to honor their 18 month warranty. The transmission was NEVER repaired. Adam diagnosed it and found that Franklinton replaced my original transmission with a used 2002 model; without my permission. Adam rebuilt my transmission properly and it has run perfectly since I received it back in less than one week and at a price MUCH, MUCH lower than numerous other transmission shops I talked to in the area. His communication and professionalism was outstanding! I highly recommend his shop to everyone! more

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I purchased a re-manufactured transmission from them (Imperial Transmissions - same outfit) and had it shipped to the west coast. Much delay and many lies it finally arrived. After being installed by certified mechanics, the car would only move a few feet. They finally sent another transmission and promised in writing they would cover the second install costs ($700). They won't communicate and after 5 months and many, many, many phone calls and e-mails I haven't received my $700. NOR my core fee of $500 more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. \r \r I purchased a transmission on-line from this company which pocketed my $500 core charge even though they received the core back. After weeks a being given the run around, I was told the core was damaged. The mechanic who replaced the transmission spoke with Imperial directly about the good condition (no crack in housing) of the core when it left his shop. If the core was damaged, it had to have been damaged during shipment which Imperial had arranged and paid for. I'm sure it was much easier for them to keep my $500 then file a claim with the shipping company. After speaking to my mechanic, Imperial actually screened my calls and would not answer the phone. Several message requests were made for them to return my call. Never received a call back. more

I have taken my SUV to Imperial Automotive on several occassions - for oil changes, air conditioning repairs, window repair, and for new tires. They were the best pricing, and they treated me fairly. One day they searched for 3 hours trying to find the problem with my air conditioning. I was not able to fix the problem that day, but they did not charge me at all for the diagnostics. They have definitely earned my trust, and I will continue to take my vehicle there. more

On our way back north after a long stay in NC the transmission blew on our car on I-40 on a Saturday. We called Imperial for a tow. They promptly got the vehicle off the busy interstate and to their shop. they then took us to a local hotel (as well as our significant amount of luggage). We then found out that the transmission was still under warranty, and that the repair would need to be done by the dealer. So, Imperial recommended a local dealer to do the repairs. The dealer towed the car and we paid Imperial the very reasonable cost for towing to their shop on Saturday. We never had the impression that Imperial was pressing us to do the repair. In every regard they were helpful from towing to recommending a dealer. Their concern about our predicament was always evident. If this is how they treat their non-customers, if I lived in Raleigh I would be delighted to be a customer given their integrity, honesty and compassion. more

I drive old cars (been driving for almost 26 years and only had 4 cars - none of them new), and have had experience with all kinds of mechanics. I trust Adam and his team with my family's safety; I'm a single mom and they could easily take advantage of me, but instead, they are taking care of me and my family. They are the best I've experienced on multiple levels - quality, service, timeliness, and they will explain what's wrong. They also will not fish for something. They will go out of their way (way out of their way!) to take care of their customers. Everyone in their shop is kind and wants to do the right thing. Do yourself a favor and take your car or truck to Adam and John and the folks at Imperial. more

Do not judge Imperial by it's interior design. Sure, there are engine parts on shelves in the lobby area, sure the couches in the waiting area look like they might have been rescued from somewhere. But these guys absolutely know their stuff. And better than that, they are the most HONEST car mechanics I have ever dealt with. Adam and John are both very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain what is going on with your car, and tell you honestly whether a repair is something you need to invest in right away. If Adam tells you it needs to be done now, it needs to be done. Also, Adam has experience working on Toyota hybrids for a toyota dealer, and I take my Prius there with confidence. Great guys, the kind you like to stand around and chat with. With Imperial, I feel like I have a friend who works on my car from time to time. more

Yesterday I was unfortunately in need of a tow to bring my vehicle from Durham to my home in Apex. I called multiple companies, and if I could manage to get a quote out of them over the phone, either the quotes were sky-high, or their phone skills (actually, lack thereof) made me think twice about dealing with a company that didn't care about first impressions on potential new customers.\r When I called Imperial, I was greeted cheerfully, put on hold for a few seconds, and given a quote. It was approximately half of the cost of the other companies that had quoted prices for me.\r The driver, Scott, arrived quickly, and everything went smootly. \r If I ever need to utilize towing services in the future (which, frankly, I hope will not happen!), I will surely call Imperial first. Coming from a family background of farmers, mechanics and engineers, we always did our own vehicle repairs. Thus, I found it difficult to find someone who can meet my expectations for skill level, knowledge, workmanship when it comes to working on my personal vehiclces. Well, I found it in these guys. They did an excellent job on rebuilding the rear axle in my pickup truck. You will not find many auto repair businesses in Cary that are willing, or even know how, to tackle correctly setting up a rear axle assembly themselves. \r Their place of business may not be very attractive when viewed from the outside, but on the inside they are very nice and friendly gentlemen, who were more than willing to take the time to patiently discuss with me my nitpicky concerns.\r Disclaimer: I have no family or financial connections with this business entity or its owner(s).
