IKEA Sucks big time!! 8/8/2013

I used to like IKEA products. Just recently bought two beds and matresses and had a very bad experience with delivery of the products, the beds were missing parts of the frame, missing screws and plugs to assemble the beds, bad quality materials, terrible customer service. Won't buy there anymore... more

Love IKEA 12/30/2012

Stay away! 2/16/2011

Horrible product. Horrible service. Don't buy anything unless you want to break your back bringing it home, put it together, only to find out it is broken and YOU have to bring it back. Buy another and take it home to see if it is broken again (sometimes only discernible AFTER assembly, like on all tables, cabinets, other larger items, etc). If still broken? REPEAT. They rely on people just KEEPING the garbage, or finding a way to rig it to function. And forget about them ever waving their delivery fee no matter how many times the product turns out to be faulty. They have PASSED the limits of how substandard something can be and still be considered a good deal because it is so "cheap"! more

worst customer service I know 7/30/2009

I purchased a mattress from IKEA on Jun 28. Because they cut the price on their website, the salesperson promised to refund me. However, after one month I hadn't seen my refund on my credit card. I called six times and finally I found that the salesperson made a mistake when she typed in my credit card number. Then one week passed, and they haven't do anything to fix their problem. So low efficiency!! I will rate a 0 to their customer care department. more

No apartment is an apartment without Ikea 4/24/2006

Let's face it, Ikea is really geared more towards apartment dwellers than those who pay mortgage. Their smaller-scale furniture at rock-bottom prices work well for people just starting out. Their Houston store is Texas-sized and holds an impressive array of basic furniture as well as pretty much every home decor/accessory you can [or the Swedish mind] can think of. On top of that, their cafe is also pretty impressive - good food at Ikea prices, it's really a one-stop shop. A caveat: obviously, because of their low prices, their quality is not always the best. Every now and then you end up with missing pieces or scratched furniture - but then, that's small trade-off for being able to furnish your whole bedroom for the price of one nightstand at West Elm... more

We love it! 4/14/2006

I have to start out by saying that this place is HUGE! You could easily get lost in there! We love it, though. When we moved into our new house, we needed a small table for our breakfast nook and we found the perfect one at IKEA. Their stuff is affordable, easy to assemble, and very durable and functional. We have found some great toys for my daughter and they are so inexpensive that it's amazing! They have some great pictures and I've also found some fun kitchen gadgets. You could easily spend several hours in here! more

great finds 3/23/2006

I love to go to Ikea for the little things. I have friends that love their furniture and love their big items but I love to go and look at their odds and ends. I love to look at their silverware, their pillows, their kid items. I love to look at their bargain bins and their bowls and vases. You can find some very unique items that they will not show in their catalog and will not show in the their ads. YOu have to experience their store. Parking is a nightmare, even though their lot is huge! Be careful walking through it and hold all hands of small children. If you are safe and in the mood to look, you will find some great bargains and neat items! more
