This is an updated review. I received a phone call from the owner of the company in which he disagreed with my statements within the previous review and threatened legal action. While I do not believe there is any actionable items of a legal nature within my previous review, in the interest of making certain that I have given this company a fair shake, I have updated this review to clarify my statements and exact issues with this company. I stand by my statements that I feel the billing was arbitrary, contributing to this feeling is in my opinion the companies poorly laid out billing letters. Another part contributing to this would also be that the company did not consistently cut our grass, cutting less in some months and cutting more in other months. We requested (and were under the impression this was agreed to) a set schedule of cuttings, which did not vary. This resulted in a widely varying monthly cost which also contributed to our disagreements concerning the final bill. Upon further reflection my entire issue with the company surrounded billing, the issues did not extend to the actual quality of the work completed so I have increased the original rating. If you are going to deal with this company I firmly suggest you have a written contract spelling out the details of your business arrangement. more

We started maintaining their yard last fall. It was a bit strange as one week they wanted it mowed, the next not, etc. but we stayed on. This spring was no problem as we started mowing for them only to have the rains come in early may. It rained as least some everyday and we were unable to cut their yard for 2 1/2 weeks because of the VERY steep banks in their back yard. Very dangerous to cut. I relayed this information to them but it was clear the yard could not be cut until it dried out. Finally the rains subsided and I felt the yard was finally dry and SAFE enough to put our equipment on it. Ironically the night before their scheduled mowing, I came home from dinner and ""hubby"" had left this PROFANITY laced message on my home answering machine about ""how I used to cut their lawn"". ANYONE in my household could have heard this classless, half drunken profanity. I immediately called the number this message came from to ask why ANYONE would or could leave this type of message. No answer. If there are any contractors reading, do yourself a favor and stay AWAY from the Taylor's on W. Windover in Murrysville. No one needs or deserves to deal with the low character type these folks obviously are. more

Okay... last year we brought these guys in late season to take over when work kicked up. Were never happy and planned to look for a new team this year. Then we got a letter saying they had new equiptment that ,met our needs (better trimming, etc) so we gave them a shot. THeir letter said they'd start early April. They showed up the last week of april for two weeks in a row then disappeared for THREE WEEKS. Amid knee high grass, we called to chek in and were told they'd ""try to get there today"" a few more days went by before we called again and got a message. We left a ""thanks but we'll find someone else"" message and that was that, EXCEPT... hubby got 3 missed calls from their number during the middle of the night which makes me think... PSYCHOS. Now I'm just waitjng to find my lawn trashed or something. Basically, steer clear of this service. Cons: EVERYTHING! more
