After dining at the Icehouse tonight to try their famous wings that I heard so much about, I was more than pleasantly surprised. To say the wings are the best in the Bronx is an understatement. They are the best in the world. I couldn't stop with just the wings so I had to sample some other items on the extensive menu. The calamari poblamo was to die for as well as the home made napoleon that I had for dessert. It was like no napoleon I had ever tasted and it was huge. The ambiance was charming with a beautiful view of the Throggs Neck bridge all lit up as well as all the boats coming in and out of the marina. The service was excellent. The waitstaff could not be more accomodating or charming. Especially the two that were working tonight. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can not wait to go back and sample some more delicious items on the menu. more

Ice House is the BEST 2/15/2011

The Ice House is our overall favorite restaurant in the city. Valentine's Day was excellent thanks to the Ice House's Owner and staff. I wasn't sure what my girlfriend and I were going to do for Valentine's Day but we knew we didn't want to go home and cook. So we called our favorite restaurant in the Bronx at 5:45 PM on Valentine's Day. Although reservations were needed the staff went out of their way to make room for us. After looking over a pre-fix menu which had an excellent selection, we both decided on the Filet Mignon with truffles. The steak was cooked to perfection and the vegetables and truffles were excellent. I was stuffed to the gills but could not stop eating. This was after eating the Ice house's delicious lobsster bisque soup and pasta appertizer. The dinner also included desert and coffee, I was going to pass on desert but the staff was nice enough to give it to us to go. Oh, I almost forgot the bottle of wine and heart of candy which was also included in the price. I highly recommend the Ice House, if you haven't tried it you are missing a true gem of the Bronx. more

Best Kept Secret in the Bronx 2/13/2011

We eat there often and didn't think we could make it for Valentine Day because of scheduling. Was thrilled to hear that the special Valentine menu was available Friday through Valentine Day. We started the meal with their award winning Manhattan clam chowder. The Filet Mignon Al Olio De Tartufo (filet mignon served with mixed wild mushrooms, fresh herbs and white truffle flavored oil) could rival the fare of a gourmet restaurant. I ordered well and was a little concerned that it would be tough. OMG, it cut like butter. The free bottle of wine and boxed chocolates were a lovely touch. Looking forward to the warmer weather to sit out on the deck to watch the sunset and the bridge lights again. more

this restaurant is the best that ive been to. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices cant be matched. They have a huge variety of soups made fresh daily and so many amazing seafood and italian dishes. If you try it once you'll be coming back all the time. more

Great food made fresh, try lobster bisque soup also great pasta night on Tuesday all you can eat. we sat outside overlooking bridge it was great last night of season to eat outside and have great meal with having spending a fortune i recommend this to everyone more

From the second you enter. You are greeted by a great friendly staff. Then you will get some of the best food in the Tri-state area. All the food is made fresh per order and the "BEST" lobster bisque you will ever eat!! more

wow stopped in this little rustic place and did not expect such great food amazing lobster bisque, not one bad dish in group do not judge a book by the cover once inside amazing food and waterveiws nice staff------- this little hideaway w/ the great food will be recomended to all my friends --i am returning tomorrow night w/ my bussiness partners for another great meal and to hopefully enjoy the outside deck (weather permiting) w/ the view of the throgs neck bride and whitestone brige or i will have to go maybe for a bruch this week for the third time --i will eat outside on that deck--l am done w driving ouy east and getting just an ok meal--i am sure u will just love this great cafe--a 5 star diamond just over the throgs neck bride more

Goodbye manhattan , I just found this restaurant and will not be going back to manhattan to pay 3 times as much for food that is 10 times better , also they have great views free parking and friendly wait staff I save money and ,eat way better food lobster bisque is WOW and so are Fresh lobster rolls in flakey pastry dough not a bad dish at our table. when check came we said thier was a mistake prices are so low we will become a regulars more

i have traveled all over the world and have visited many great expensive resturants-from hong kong to europe... ice house cafe is my favorite atomsphere is relaxed - people and service are friendly -the view is breathing it is georgous peaceful... the food is excellent , i just cant get enough of it ,reasonally priced and delicious-the chef is macifient... i come all the way from long island it has become my favorite eattery --try it for yourself and see how wonderful your day and meal will be you wont be disappointed... the rustic atimospher are truley unique...this is one of the NY's best keep secerts more

The best Italian food in the city, very reasonable prices, great view of the water. They have a unique special menu, which changes weekly. the chef (tino) is one of the finest chefs in the buisness. His special creations spoil me from eating in other resturants. the seafood is allways fresh, and have the best sausage and peppers I've ever had. sorry mom.......... more
